Speech Text About Students Lifestyle

Students today face many challenges to their lifestyles according to a survey done in Indonesia. The survey found that over 2 million Indonesian youth struggle with drug addiction, over 8,000 adolescents have been diagnosed with AIDS, and many teens are sexually active at young ages. Specifically, the survey showed that 93.7% of junior high and high school students have engaged in some type of sexual activity, 62.7% of junior high students were no longer virgins, and 21.2% of high schoolers reported having an abortion. All parties, including parents, schools, government and businesses need to work together to address these issues through strategies like strengthening laws against pornography and controlling cigarette advertising to help guide students towards healthier choices

Speech Text About: Students Lifestyle

The Honourable,
The Judges of english speech contest,
The teachers, and all of the participants of english speech contest, Good Morning.
Let me introduce my name, my name is Abednego Ansel Ringgo I'm from 129 JHS
Today, I would like to deliver my speech and it's about Students Lifestyle.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
As we know, in the middle of this era, there are so many kinds the abusement of
students lifestyle. More than 2 million young Indonesian Drug addiction (BNN 2004) and
over 8000 adolescents diagnosed with AIDS (MOH 2008). In addition, moral children in a
sexual relationship has entered a stage of very worrying. More than 60% of middle and
high school teens Indonesia, was not a virgin anymore. Free-living behavior has
undermined the foundations of our society. Based on the survey results of the National
Commission for Child Protection in collaboration with the Child Protection Agency (LPA)
in 12 provinces in 2007 gained recognition teenagers that:
- 93.7% junior high and high school kids ever do some sex activities.
- 62.7% of children admitted junior high school was not virgin anymore.
- 21.2% high school teens admitted to having an abortion.
- From 2 million Indonesian women who have had abortions, 1 million are girls.
- As many as 97% of middle and high school students claimed to like watching blue
movie.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
All parties should feel responsible for this case. Besides the parents, the environment is
the most important. Our education system must also be changed. Do not raise the
budget without increasing the real value of education. Government is supposed to firmly
implement the laws, and the businessmen, traders, and try to stop Internet web
deploying destructive things (because our generation is still fragile). The things that
should be done:
- The Government firmly filtration soap operas, films or advertisements containing sexual
violence, promiscuity, mystical-religious, religious-violence, divination and gambling.
- Punish the offenders firmly Child Protection Act
- Make filtration porn sites in Indonesia. Until now there are 6 Porn Sites' most
accessible in Indonesia
- Building a Youth Centre, and the creation of educational centers for adolescents in
order to move positive.
- Actively control the promotion (advertising) and distribution of cigarettes.
- Prioritizing prevention of child trafficking, commercial sexual exploitation of children,
and drugs.
- Education in the community that do not alienate the kids (who are victims), help them
to get out of their (material or moral).

so that's my speech for today. I hopefully it can, be useful for others and change the
students lifestyle more better than yesterday. Thank you for your attention. Good
