ContraCline
Contracline is a patented optical system
which is unsurpassed in effectively collecting
and distributlng lght. The system produces
extremely high evels of il um nat on, yet its
sharp cutoff elimlnates disabling glare.
The Contrac ine family of contemporary and
perlod pieces has been expanded to include
the new Savannah Lantern.

creased illum nat on results ln improved v sibility
as well as an increased sense of safety and securty.
Uniform Distribution
The Contracline is designed to distribute light
into highly uniform patterns. This not on y makes
the site appear better lit, but el minates the dark
areas between posts and at site perimeters.
Superior Glare Control
The reflector elements of the Contracline are
precisely positioned to sharply cut off light from
the arc tube or reflected images above 75".
This design s gnificantly reduces high angle
brjghtness, lmproving visibility and creating a
more comfodable visual environment. ln addition, the Contracline system allows control of
lghr trespass beyond the propeny'ire.

Savannah Lantern is rerniniscent of ornamental
turn-of-the-century gas and incandescent
street lighting fixtures. Similarly, the even,
comfortable glow produced by the ContraCline
at night evokes images of those early lighting
standards.
Life Cycle Economies
The wide luminaire spacings provided by the
ContraCline optical system can significantly
lower installation costs. Fewer fixtures result
in less energy and maintenance costs over the
life of the prolect. Also, the remarkable control
provided by the Contracline opiical system
may allow use of reduced wattage lamps.
