Mc12022A Mc12022B Consider Mc12052A For New Designs 1.1Ghz Dual Modulus Prescaler

The document provides technical specifications for the MC12022A/B dual modulus prescaler chips from Motorola. The chips can be used as prescalers in PLL circuits to provide tuning signals up to 1.1GHz. The MC12022A works with positive edge triggers while the MC12022B works with negative edges. The chips offer a selection of 64/65 or 128/129 divide ratios controlled by input pins. Key specifications include an operating frequency up to 1.1GHz, supply voltage of 4.5-5.5V, and current draw of 7.5mA typical. Tables provide electrical characteristics, functional logic, and ordering information for the chips.

Consider MC12052A for New Designs

MC12022B

1.1GHz Dual Modulus Prescaler

The MC12022A can be used with CMOS synthesizers requiring positive
edges to trigger internal counters such as Motorolas MC145XXX series in a
PLL to provide tuning signals up to 1.1GHz in programmable frequency
steps.
The MC12022B can be used with CMOS synthesizers requiring negative
edges to trigger internal counters.
A Divide Ratio Control (SW) permits selection of a 64/65 or 128/129 divide
ratio as desired.
The Modulus Control (MC) selects the proper divide number after SW has
been biased to select the desired divide ratio.

but this is not recommended due to increased power soncumption.
2. MC: H = 2.0 V to VCC, L = GND to 0.8 V.
