What happened ?
1) Review about the last meeting:
a) Some teachers have no idea about what happened in the previous
because some coordinator teachers did not inform their colleagues.
b) Some coordinator teachers were absent .
c) Some schools did not deliver the unified documents to teachers.
What to do?
- Weekly coordination
meeting.
-Plan local training sessions
meetings .
-Report all what happens in
local training meetings and
workshops on the
coordination text book
-make report about such
training and meeting to the
inspector.
-Never tolerate any
unjustified absence.

meeting which takes into
account all the learners
abilities.

2) How to handle the problem of weak / shy/ slow learners ?
Trainees listed different causes like :
- English is seen at MS where learners come without
any background.
- Learners did not study French or have weak
background since they dont master the spelling of
the alphabets, cant write even their names.
- Over crowded classes.
- Parents do not care about their kids learning.
- 2 hours to teach a foreign is not enough.
-Teachers must believe in
changes and English exist in the
Algerian society nowadays.
-coordinate with teachers of
French and see how to take in
charge such weak learners since
their timing permits that.
-Fine technics in teaching large
classes (group work pedagogy)
-plan monthly parents day.
-make report about the
performed lessons during the
school year and the ones
planned in the syllabus.
3) Introducing Tutorial classes :
The majority of teachers think tutorial classes is for :
- Making games.
- Playing songs
- Changing the classroom routine.
- No lesson plan
- No teaching
- Making learners have fun
-teachers ignore the rational for
TD
-teachers need to know TD is a
remedial work where one to
one teaching method Is used in
order
to
remedy
the
weaknesses noticed during the
lesson.
