Flocrete W55
Integral waterproofing admixture
Description
Flocrete W55 is liquid concrete waterproofing admixture
formulated from selected polymers specially designed
to reduce the concrete water permeability by reducing
capillary voids within the concrete, which will last for the
life of the concrete.
Applications
To produce concrete with lower permeability.
For water retaining structures and concrete
substructures.

the op mum dosage of Flocrete W55 to meet the
performance requirements by using the materials and
condi ons in actual use.
Effects of Over Dosage
Compatibility
Over dosing of Flocrete W55 will cause the following:
Flocrete W55 can be used with all types of Portland
cement and cement replacement materials. Flocrete
W55 is compa ble with other DCP admixtures used in the
same concrete mix. If more than one type of admixture
is to be used in concrete mix, they must be dispensed to
the concrete separately.
- Significant increase in retarda on.
- Increase in workability.
Standards
Points to be considered in waterproof concrete
Flocrete W55 complies with ASTM C494, Type A.
i. Lower water to cement ra o gives lower permeability
concrete.
ii. Good concrete placing and compac on are very
important to produce waterproof concrete.
iii. Fresh concrete should be protected against rapid
drying and cured properly.
iv. Cold joints must be avoided.
Method of Use
Flocrete W55 should be added to the concrete with the
mixing water to achieve op mum performance.
Ul mate concrete strength will not be adversely aected
and will generally be increased provided that proper
concrete curing is maintained.
Automa c dispenser should be used to dispense the
correct quan ty of Flocrete W55 to the concrete mix.
Cleaning
Dosage
Flocrete W55 can be washed with fresh cold water.
The guidance dosage of Flocrete W55 is 0.50 - 0.80 litres/
100 kg of cemen ous materials in the mix, including
GGBFS, PFA or microsilica.
Packaging
Flocrete W55 is available in 25 litres pails, 210 litres
drums and 1000 litres bulks supply.

Flocrete W55 should not come into contact with skin and
