CNC programmer

Seeking an experienced individual to write and develop customized computer-based programs for
our large intricate machine shop metal cutting machinery.
Essential job duties include:

Calculate optimum spindle speed and feed rates for specific machine functions and various
types of metal

Selects proper cutting tools for maximum efficiency and safety


Supervises set-up and machining during program development and records data
Interfaces with CNC Machinists and their supervisors and assists with troubleshooting and
corrective action development
Verifies accuracy of computer output to ensure proper cutting path and final positions
Recommends and implements cost and quality improvements to facilitate efficient work flow
+Requirements:
1.
7+ years programming 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machines using M and G Codes. Knowledge
of MasterCam is a must have skill.
2.
Ability to setup a smooth flowing programming operation including training, process
improvement, fixtures and troubleshooting.
3.
Any formal academic training in machining would be helpful
4.
Experience with ISO-9001, CMM and SPC is a plus
Duties:
1.
Work with Machining Supervisor to specify equipment, including lathes, mills, and tooling
inserts
2.
Program CNC machines to meet customer prints
3.
Develop speeds and feeds to most efficiently turn thermal sprayed coatings and steel
substrates
4.
Assist in machining department operations including setting up new parts, training operators,
troubleshooting equipment, etc.
5.
Perform First Piece Approval Quality checks including using GD&T

+The Main Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Support of the production engineer in the design phase of new production projects.

Installation of fixtures and tooling in lathes and mills.

Class CNC Machinst

Pre-setting of tools.

Ability to Program CNC Machines from Blueprints

Programming of machining processes to ensure manufacturing of components to


specification.

Ensure quality of product through application of knowledge and understanding of


documentation.

Read and interpret routers and drawings to machine product to specification.

Perform required routine preventative maintenance and assist maintenance personnel


during required repairs or maintenance cycles.

Maintains accurate records of work performed and set-ups established on each


production cell.

Use prescribed measuring devices and equipment to ensure product meets


specifications. Communicates with the quality department in the launch phase to ensure
efficient set-up and programming.

Maintains equipment and work area appropriately and in accordance with plant wide 5S
System

Requirements

Knowledge in the fields of machining of aluminium components.

Automotive industry experience.

Ability to read and understand verbal and written instructions, including some technical
information and all safety information.

Must have valid drivers license.

Metric drawing reading skills required.

Must have good mechanical attitude, mathematical skills and willingness to learn.

Must have good eyesight and attention to detail.

Must be motivated and self directed.

Good attendance and punctuality required; previous steady, work history a must.

Must be self-starting, inwardly motivated and pro-active.

Must be able to work with a minimum amount of supervision and follow up.

Must be team oriented.

Write and document part programs with instructions and in-process drawings with high degree
of accuracy so machinist can understand instructions on how to run the programs with ease.
Modifying existing programs to enhance efficiency.
Research and development mechanical engineer
This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

High-quality execution and on-time achievement of product design, engineering


feasibility and testing under regulated design controls

Technical leadership of product development projects and teams

Design and develop new, novel products and support existing products

Create multiple concepts for complex problems, build representative prototypes


(physical-prototypes and virtual-computer models), devise and perform tests to prove the
concept and communicate results

Demonstrate engineering expertise in evaluating and analyzing designs, able to


determine design capabilities and margins against requirements and applies design
trade-offs and constraints for design optimization

Develop specifications, test methodologies and execute verification and validation


testing

Document results in reports and laboratory notebooks and engineering reports

Prepare and present comprehensive design reviews demonstrating technical rigor and
attention to details

Interact and collaborate effectively with cross functional groups i.e. (Quality, Regulatory,
Manufacturing, Marketing)

Ensure designs meet and exceed product specifications, regulatory requirements and
international standards.

Contributes to the creation of and maintenance of mechanical engineering and product


development group processes

Grow and maintain technical knowledge current with advancing technologies related to
product development of medical devices

Provide subject matter expertise in technical support areas such as root cause analysis,
engineering analysis, statistical analysis, experimental design, failure analysis,
specialized testing, and design of experiments or other relevant areas.

Technical decision making make critical judgments and decision.

Technical Sale

Your main responsibility will be to support existing and new customers during technical
selection, specification and application of raw materials and machinery, as well as
assisting with commercial matters. You will maintain close relationships with our
customer base through regular telephone contact and personal visits to their facilities.
You will provide feedback on existing customer manufacturing processes and new
requirements, as well as making recommendations for improvements. Together with our
international team you will assist our customers in solving their daily manufacturing
challenges with a rapidly evolving technology. Under your own initiative you will
proactively monitor the market for new customers and new applications for our products.

As a freelance sales agent, you will be a self starter and display a high degree of self
motivation and independence. The position offers flexible working hours and a choice of
office location almost anywhere in California, however not far from a major airport.
