Caution: Please read this manual before installation;

1. Working conditions should not exceed the rated parameters;
2. Not live line work;
3. There is voltage difference between BDIT module and communication terminal, it
is strictly prohibited to tough battery and communication terminal by hand or metal
conductor etc;
4. The System is with high voltage, non-professionals forbidden to remove cable, to
prevent electric shock;
5. Equipment working environment should avoid moist, salt mist and high
temperature.

3. Address Bit Setting of BDIT Module

1.Connect the BDIT modules to ports group 1-6(RJ45 type) of Batt Manager Host
through network cable;
2.Connect Batt Manager host with computer through RS232 port (if the computer do
not with RS232 port, need prepare a USB-RS232 cable);
3. Long press the ESC button and press the AC-POWER In button at the same time,
the Batt Manager Host will display connecting and mean have enter configuration
status;

Note: BDIT module need to connect to 12V power supply(can directly connect to 12V
battery output, also can use other 12V power supply)

Run the program BDIT Config Tool, Choose a correct serial port and clickopen
com

Then read the voltage and modify BDIT module address.(read the address bit first,
then write a new address bit)

Note: the address bit of each BDIT module can not be the same, must start
from 1 and write by sequence.

4. BDIT Modules Installation

Note: this operation should strictly observe safe operation rules, to avoid
electric shock, the operator must hold the electrician certificate
After set the first address bit of BDIT module, user can use battery clamp(anode

and

cathode) connect to the No.1 single battery(anode and cathode), BDIT module should
stick close to single battery to capture data of high accuracy;
Note: pay attention to short circuit, for the connection, the terminal of BDIT module
should be removed first, when the terminal( anode and cathode) connect well with
battery( anode and cathode), finally install the terminal to BDIT module.

2) Connect the RJ45 port of the BDIT to the group 1~6 RJ45 port with a network wire
(568B type wire)
3) Connect the battery clamp of the second BDIT module to the second module;
connect the RJ45 port to the RJ45 port of the previous BDIT;

Note: Temperature sensor should be in serial connection to the last BDIT module,
temperature module no need to config address bit. One set of battery Manager only
need 1 temperature sensor.

5. Hall Sensor Installation

Note:This operation should strictly observe to the safe operation rules, to avoid
electric shock, the operator is required to have electrician certificate)

The fire wire which connects battery with UPS should go across the current sensor,
then the terminals of the current sensor like GNDMV-V+

should be connected

to the Current port of the Batt manager like GINV-V+ r, the dial switch of Batt
Manager all should be off.

Note: Please pay attention to current direction when install current sensor, the arrow
direction of current sensor should be same with battery string discharge direction

6. Network Monitoring Adapter Installation

Note: The Netmate III adapter should be installed after above steps are finished

Insert Netmate III adapter to the slot of Batt Manager Host, and connect to the
computer with UTP network cable

IP Address Setting
Open the web browser to input default IP address 192.168.0.100, User Name admin,
Password: admin, the home page will display as below:

Click Network Config and user can modify IP address as showed:

7. Basic Configuration
Click Host Program, then click Connecting the Host; if connection succeed, it
will display as showed; if connection fails, please check the wiring connection;

Current Sensor Measuring Range: Input the Sensor Range

Charge and Discharge Threshold: Generally set 0, according to requirement and set
as 1%*AH-2%*AH
Current and Voltage Conversion Rate: every V of current sensor output signal is
real current value
Backup Electricity Computational Load: Pre-set system load, the host will
according to system load to calculate system backup time when is under charging
status
Conductor Resistance: The total conductor resistance between battery and UPS
battery input terminal
Battery Life: According to battery specifications to input floating charging time
Single Battery Voltage: 2V or 12V, 6V is not supported temporarily
Single Battery Capacity: Nominal capacity of each battery
Battery Cascade Amount: Single battery cascade amounts in a battery string , min is

Battery Parallel Strings: According to real situation, min is 1
Battery Amount: Total single battery amount.
Single Knot Voltage Cut-off : battery discharging cut-off voltage, according to
battery specification.

Battery Type: if it is high discharging rate battery, please select High discharging
rate battery, if not, please select Conventional Battery
Battery Capacity Unit: Ah or Wh
If for old battery,

please click Old battery and input real using time

If it accord with communication standard discharging rate, please click Standard

data, if not, please click Form data to modify form lines, input real data.

8. Communication Parameters Configuration

BDIT module amounts: Input real BDIT (single battery) amounts, if none, input 0
MODBUS AddressThe Batt manager use MODBUS address to access to the detector
through MODBUS protocol.
MODBUS Communication Type: Choose according to needs
MODBUS Baud rate: Choose according to needs
Other MODBUS Communication Serial Port Configuration: 8 bit data bits, no parity,
1 stop bit, no hardware flow control.

9. Alarm Parameter Configuration

Discharging Depth: When discharging depth is higher than this value, the host will
give alarm
Backup Time: When discharging backup time is lower than this value, the host will
give alarm
Life Alarm: When battery capacity is lower than percentage of battery nominal
capacity,the host will give alarm
Periodical Maintenance: The intervals of battery periodic maintenance (at least 20%
discharging), generally it is 90days , and the host will give alarm if 20% discharge is
not occurred in this period.
Annual Inspection Alarm: The intervals of battery annual maintenance (at least 80%
discharge), generally it is 1 year. It alarms if 80% discharge is not occurred in this
period.
Upper Limit of Temperature, Voltage, Discharge Current: It alarms when
corresponding value surpass it.
Lower Limit of Temperature, Voltage, Discharge Current: It alarms when
corresponding value surpass it.

10. Calibration Parameter Configuration

The parameters of the host hardware and software versions can be read on this
interface

Time Setting:
The Batt Manager time can be read or set.

Read Electric Parameters:

After installation & configuration finished, user needs to confirm that there is no
current in conductor which the hall sensor detects, and then set "Sensor BIAS Set" as
'Auto', click "Current input fallen down",now the hall sensor reset is finished. Click
"read", user can acquire current,voltage and temperature of those batteries monitored.
If the value is not consistent with the actual one,pls check the installation of wiring
and configuration.

aused by non-discharge and uneven discharge for a long time.

Discharge Maintenance Depth: range 7% ~ 7%, achieve the joint-discharge
function in UPS or communication power supply, no need to cut off the utility power.
As for a small number of UPS without this function, the utility power has to be cut off
artificially.
Fault Judgment Method Choice: generally select both two method to judge the
battery pack fault.
Note: After configured above information, click confirm writing and click writing
parameters; If only modify some lines or some individual parameters, also need to
click confirm writing , and click writing parameters.

Note: For newly installed host or the host have replace for monitoring battery string,
both need initialize self-learning data

13. Alarm Configuration
