TAPMI OPERATIONS FORUM

Pitch for Disha-2015

Introduction
The TAPMI Operations Forum was established in March 2009, with an
academic perspective, while inducing industrial exposure in the field of
operations thus representing the needs of the student community across
segments.
Objective

To improve the visibility of the Operations wing of TAPMI across the


industry.

In view of accomplishing the above objectives, we plan to organize the


following events in the upcoming year 2015-16.
S.C.O.P.E. 2015
The second edition of S.C.O.P.E held last year in October witnessed an
array of 10 guests from 9 different sectors pertaining to Operations. This
edition was a one and a half day event over which guests were involved in
student interaction through Guest Lectures, Panel Discussions and Case
Study Competition. The institute as well as the students immensely
benefited through the knowledge transfer which took place between the
guest, faculty and students.
Taking forward from the success of S.C.O.P.E 2015, we plan to make the
third edition a still bigger event in terms of the number of guests, the
content of the conclave and the duration of the event.
We came across brilliant ideas and suggestions from the fellow batch
mates, guest and participants in terms of events that could be included as
a part of the conclave. Certain new events are proposed to be included in
the S.C.O.P.E 2015 edition which includes Inter College Case study
competition, Digital Poster Competition and Quiz Competition. This year
we are looking for a sole title sponsor and promoter for our event S.C.O.P.E
2015.
A. Animus (Inter College Case-Study Competition)
This will be held during SCOPE-2015 to showcase the talent of students in
front of Industry stalwarts. This year we have planned to take a real time

industry scenario/case, which will test the industry application of


operational concepts in real world situation. This case will be taken up as
case study challenge. The participating team from various B-schools will
submit the solution in form of presentation which will be evaluated by
faculty at TAPMI. The top 6 teams will be given a chance to present in
front of Judges. The company whose case study is taken up, will be
considered as the promoter and sponsor for this event.
We plan to give the winners cash prizes for the event.
Winner: Rs.30000
Runner up: Rs. 20000
2nd Runner up: 10000
B. CANVAS (Inter College Digital Poster Competition)
This competition strives to encourage students to create original art
inspired by proposed conclave theme. The theme for the SCOPE-2015 will
also be the theme for poster competition. Each team will have maximum
2 members. We are planning to take on board an industry which will be
the promoter and sponsor for this event.
We plan to give the winners cash prizes for the event.
Winner: 10000
Runner-up: 5000
C. Quiz Competition
Quizzes containing a vast array of questions on the field of Operations is
planned to be conducted with a view of providing the students a platform
to showcase and enhance their knowledge. We are planning to take on
board an industry which will be the promoter and sponsor for this event.
We plan to give the winners cash prizes for the event.
Winner: Rs.10000

Runner up: Rs.5000
