ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
At the very onset, we would like to offer our sincere gratitude to Sikkim Manipal Institute of
Technology for allowing us to pursue our research on our mini project. We also take this
opportunity to express our gratitude towards our project guide, Mr. Rahul Kumar Assistant
Professor-II, Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department of Sikkim Manipal Institute of
Technology. It was with his backing and support that we progressed with our project.
We also thank Professor K.S.Sherpa Head, Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department
for allowing us to proceed with the project.
We would also like to extend our heart-felt thanks to all the faculty members of the Department,
our families and friends for their moral support and encouragement.

ABSTRACT
In this era of electronics which is evolving rapidly, the motive of designing a system has always
been to provide optimal results and a friendly or simple interaction of the system with the users.
In this project a SINE WAVE INVERTER CIRCUIT is designed which converts a dc input
voltage to a corresponding ac output. This is a modified inverter circuit which uses 555 timer,
4017b decade counter, LM7808, mosfet and transformer.
By the help of the above system we can get a sine wave output in a condition where it is
practically not available. The main advantage of this circuit is that it is simple, robust and can be
implemented very easily on any ac running devices.
