2008/2016 NSL Expander Cabinets


2008M Master No Subscriber Line
(NSL) Relay Cabinet

The 2008M Master NSL Relay Cabinet comes complete


with one Main NSL Controller Board, one NSL Backplane
and one PS-24/PS-24P transformer. Up to eight 2012
NSL Telephone Line Relay Cards may be installed on
the NSL backplane, allowing for a total of 96 Residents
per 2008M enclosure. The 2008M NSL Unit (and any
2008/16 NSL Relay Backplane Expanders) performs
the switching between the telephone lines, resident lines
and the 2001 Lobby Unit(s). In addition it generates
call waiting tones to the resident. The 2008M and any
2008s and/or 2016s must all be adjacent to each other,
mounted on the same wall and in the same room.

9106 6ft. Relay Cable

The 2008 NSL 8 Relay Expander Cabinet/2016 NSL


16 Relay Expander Cabinet provide expansion for
the 2008M Master NSL Relay Cabinet. The expander
cabinets are interconnected to the 2008M via two
cables and provide capacity for an additional 8
or 16 Telephone Line Relay Cards. A total of 16
backplanes may be installed for a total of 1,536
Residents.

2012 Telephone Line Relay Card

The 2012 Telephone Line Relay Card plugs into the


Backplane Boards of the NSL Relay Cabinets. Each
Backplane supports eight 2012 relay cards for a
total of 128 relays per NSL Backplane. Each 2102
Telephone Line Relay Card provides for connection
to 12 resident telephone lines for a maximum of
1,536 per system. The connections are done via
the CA-71A (Canada) BIX Block or RJ-71C (U.S.A.)
Punch Down Block Wiring Configuration. The 50 pin
Amphenol connector on the BIX block is connected
to the 2012 relay card using the standard 9106 relay
cable.

The 9106 6 ft. Relay Cable is used to connect the


2012 relay card to the 50 pin Amphenol connector
on the BIX block. One relay cable is required per
2012 relay card.

2012E Elevator Restriction Relay Card

2008E Elevator Restriction Unit

The 2012E Elevator Restriction Relay Card plugs into


the Backplane portion of the 2008E Elevator Restriction
Unit. Each 2012E has 12 Form A or B (Each is
Jumper selectable as Normally Closed or Normally
Open) Relay contacts rated at 28 VDC, 0.5 ampere. A
total of eight 2012E Elevator Restriction Relay Cards
mount into each 2008E Unit for a total of 96 elevator
restriction relays.

The 2008E Elevator Restriction Unit allows the visitor


limited access into a building. The 2008E Elevator
Restriction Unit comes complete with a cabinet, the
Main Elevator Restriction Controller Board, the Elevator
BackPlane and one PS-24/PS-24P transformer. The
2008E supports up to eight 2012E Elevator Restriction
Relay Cards for a total of 96 elevator restriction relays.
The 2008E Elevator Restriction Unit provides time
dependent relay contacts which can be used for either
elevator control or video control.
