A highly motivated, focussed and versatile individual, I am able to respond to

EMPLOYMENT HISTORY

2002 – 2009 Corus Group 42” Pipe Mill, QC/Welding Inspector


Hartlepool

My responsibilities included ensuring adherence to safety


legislation and standard working practices, procedures and
specifications. I liaised closely between shop floor staff and
management, inspected plate and pipe welds to identify and
monitor related defects, cause and repair procedures.

I reported on Macro and NDT inspections to ensure measuring,


calibration and consumer control requirements were met,
recorded all production points relevant to quality which in turn
ensured good traceability.

I developed a sound knowledge of complex industry metal


working equipment including crimp pipe presses, plate rolling
stands and saw welding machinery. I undertook all aspects of
quality control from plate receipt to despatch and worked to
achieve daily targets.

1996 – 1999 Agency Contracts NDT Inspector


I worked with major oil companies carrying out ultrasonic
inspection of platform construction and accommodation
modules for production platforms. Platform legs nozzles of all
configurations to acceptance levels including ASME
specifications. Projects included:
• Maintenance programme on ‘Ali Baba’
• Semi-submersible drilling rig
• Inspection of exhaust ducking, cantilever 4xskids, mud
treatment module for production platforms in North Sea
and Dutch/Norwegian Sectors.
1993 – 1995 Schiedan Holland – NDT Inspector
HCG Fabrication Yard
Supervised and cross-checked ASNT Level 2 personnel, DAC
curves acceptance levels relevant to specific requirements.

1992 – 1993 BIB Holland NDT Inspector


Employed by a major Dutch Oil Company to carry out offshore
work.

1989 – 1991 Conoco Limited NDT Inspector


Worked on the construction of Tension Leg Platform for Hutton
Field based in Fabrication Contractors Yard. I was responsible
for all aspects of ultrasonics and strict adherence to client
specifications and procedures. I carried out cross checking on
defective welds, supervised DAC curves and equipment
relevant to specific requirements, completed documentation
and acceptance, inspection records and assessment reports on
performance meterage per hour.

1985 – 1988 Incon Inspection Services Limited NDT Inspector


I was based in company premises in Rotterdam and travelled
to main contractors and fabrication yards throughout Holland
and also offshore/inshore to maximise quality control effecting
all parameters with Ultrasonic and PNPI with full involvement
assisting Radiographer. Clients included:
• Mobile North Sea
• Major Dutch Oil Company
• Shell Oil BV
• Conoco Limited

Practically minded, ‘hands-on’ and experienced craftsman with lots of common


sense and stamina, I am able to organise and plan my time to maximise efficiency
and performance in challenging and pressurised environments and make
decisions quickly and decisively while maintaining high levels of accuracy to meet
deadlines and targets.

Punctual, safety aware, quality focused and professional in approach, I like to take
on challenges, am prepared to ‘go the extra mile’ and enjoy the sense of
