URGENT : Risk of the multifunction display and telematic unit being rendered useless : Do not disconnect
the connection cable between the telematic unit and the multifunction display when the telematic unit 40way connector is connected.

Before any operations : Check :
The battery voltage
The fuses
The correct position of the shunt located on the built-in systems interface (the shunt must be in position
"customer")
The built-in systems interface must not be in "ECO mode"
The telematics unit must be powered and connected to the network

CAUTION : Special precautions must be taken when connecting and disconnecting the telematic unit and
multifunction display harnesses, to avoid permanent damage to the multifunction display / Data
communication ECU .
Dismantling : multifunction screen / Data communication ECU :
1 - Switch off the ignition ; Switch off all power consuming equipment to allow the networks to switch to
standby
2 - Get out of the vehicle ; Check that all the openings are closed correctly (Do not lock the doors)
3 - Wait 3 minutes
4 - Disconnect the battery
5 - Disconnect the telematic unit 40-way connector
6 - Unplug : The multifunction display
7 - Disconnect the telematic unit aerials
8 - Connect the battery

It is necessary to restart the telematic unit RT3 between two readings of faults, in order for the latest
modifications performed (reconnection of an aerial or wiring, etc.) to be correctly taken into account by the
telematic unit RT3.
