Preface
This report presents a very scholastic approach to the industrial training that I
underwent at Caparo Maruti Limited, Gurgaon for eight weeks from 20TH May 2014
to 5TH July 2014. The training was a part of the curriculum of B.Tech. here at
MNIT,Jaipur to be accomplished during summers before the commencement of fourth
year.
This report presents a very simple, impicit yet a very comprehensive study of the
capabilities and responsibilities of the department. This report demonstrates overall
view of working of Productin and Engineering Department, softwares being used for
various analyses, methods of testing being followed in various labs and their incessant
search for innovative ideas.
I was exposed to the assembly line process employed along with practical knowledge
and application of different manufacturing processes as drawing, chipping, along with
the basic ones as CNC machines. The main learning was of the inspection and the
quality testing of each part at every station along the assembly line.
It turned out to be a wonderful experience both industrially and learning wise; living
in a new city altogether, experiencing the functionalities of Reasearch and
Development Department, flow of knowledge as well as decision making processes
within the company. Working with the employees and learning from them was such a
life changing experience.

CONCLUSION
CML is a world class company in sheet metal technology. Training here has been very
useful in understanding the working environment of the company, relation between
officers and subordinates, shop floor, organizational values of any industry and many
other things. How people work together and achieve mass production in any industry
in prescribed time with quality. We came to know about various processes and
activities done to develop and produce the components effectively and accurately.
The industrial training is very beneficial to me. After the training, I got the practical
knowledge about machines and machine processes and also know how these
machines are used for making different kind of equipments, machines and products.
