Go to your station. There are nine stations. Check the

electronic signs for next train information.
Buy a ticket. Purchase ticket or pass at the ticket vending
machine at the station (or, bring your pass with you if you
purchased it in advance from our retail outlets).
Take a seat. Choose any seat, but remember that the
lower-level front seats are reserved for seniors and people
with disabilities. Or, stand and hold on.
Head for your final destination. The train will stop at
every station. Be ready to show your ticket or pass to a fare
inspector if asked.

Secure personal items while on the bus. Remember to take
them with you when you leave.

STOP REQUESTS

 Stop requests should be made one block before the bus

stop.

 Passenger stops are only permitted at designated

locations. Passenger stops are not permitted in

construction zones.
Never
yell at the driver to stop the bus. Use the stop

requested cord or signal tab.

LOADING YOUR BIKE

Remove pumps or other loose items.

Flag the operator as the bus approaches.
Let the operator know youll be using the rack.
Wait if others are removing their bikes.
If yours is the first bike, open the rack by pulling the

handle up and lowering the rack.

Place bike into wheel wells, placing front tire
into the labeled well.
Pull the spring-loaded support arm out and over
the front tire until it hugs the tire.
Board the bus.

UNLOADING YOUR BIKE

When exiting the bus, tell the operator youll be

removing your bike.

To release your bike, simply pull the support
arm away from the wheel and down.
Lift your bike from the wheel wells.
If the rack is empty, close it by pulling the handle
and raising the rack until it locks.
Move away from the bus and let the operator
know its safe to leave.

HELPFUL HINTS

For safety reasons, the operator cannot leave the bus

to help load or unload the bike.
Bicycle racks are available on a first-come,
first-served basis.
Take care when you step off the curb. Never step to
the street side of the bus into traffic.
All bikes with wheels 16 or larger fit.
Remember to follow traffic rules and wear a helmet
for a safe bike ride.

En caso de que el estante este vaci, cirrelo al estriar
la palanca y subiendo el estante hasta que se atranque.
Aljese del autobs e infrmele al operador que ya hay
seguridad para proceder.

ensure that you wont encounter any problems when using
your magnetic fare card.

If your card cannot be read by the farebox, the operator will

ask you to pay your fare using cash and direct you to the
Capital Metro Transit Store (209 W. 9th Street) and, if eligible,
get a fare card replacement.

GETTING A REPLACEMENT FARE CARD

Even if you purchased your card at an outlet, all fare card

replacements must be obtained from the Capital Metro
Transit Store. If there is obvious damage to the card, there
will be a fee to replace the damaged card with a card of equal
value. If a card is defective, it will be replaced at no charge.
