Scientific Management

Scientific management aims to increase production efficiency by applying scientific principles to management. It involves systematically analyzing each element of work and replacing old "rules of thumb" methods. The goals are to discover the most efficient ways of working, reduce costs, and maximize benefits for both workers and management through cooperation rather than treating their interests as opposed to each other. It requires changes in the mental attitudes of both managers and workers.
