*Title of the project: Recruitment and Selection

*Statement about the problem (in brief): The project report is all
about recruitment and selection process thats an important part of any
organization.
For every organization it is important to have a right person for a right job. It is
said if the right person is appointed at right place the half work has been done.
Recruitment and Selection play a vital role in this situation. The shortage of skills
and the use of new technology are putting considerable pressure on how employers
go about Recruiting and Selecting staff. It is recommended to carry out a strategic
analysis of Recruitment and Selection procedure.
In this project I have tried to cover all the important point that should be kept in
mind while recruitment and selection process and have conducted a research study.
Recruitment and Selection are simultaneous process and are incomplete without
each other. They are important components of the organization and are different
from each other. Since all the aspect needs practical example and explanation this
project includes Recruitment and selection Process of Infosys and a practical case
study.
*Why is the particular topic chosen? : The HR professional in

the service sector is now stressing on a systematic approach to


recruitment and selection for increasing the managerial
effectiveness of its professionals. The Objective of choosing this
recruitment and selection project is to understand and analyze
the existing Recruitment and selection procedure in the
organization as well as to understand the effective use of different
sources of recruitment for the recruitment of the new employee,
betterment of the organization as well as existing employee.
*What contribution would the project make and to whom?
The results of my study and analysis would provide a very useful input to the
management. This project helps in developing recommendations for the use of
better
practical
tools,
based
on
research
and
case
studies.
Promote better selection techniques to improve the quality and speed of
recruitment actions of the management.

Objective: The main objectives for undertaking this project is:

2. To identify areas where there can be scope for improvement.
3. To give suitable recommendation to streamline the hiring process.
4. To develop practical knowledge with theoretical aspects.

6. To find out better process of recruitment.

Scope: To define the process and flow of activities while recruiting,


selecting and appointing personnel on the permanent rolls of the
organization.
1. The study is limited to the information given by the employees.
2. The study has been limited due to time constraint.
3. The study is limited based on the rules and regulations of the
organizations.
*Methodology
Primary Data: Primary data were collected through the survey method
of distributing questionnaires to branch manager and other sales manager.
The questionnaires were carefully designed by taking into account the
parameters of my study.
Secondary Data: Data was collected from books, magazines,
websites, going through the records of the organization, etc. It is the data
which have been collected by an individual or someone else for the purpose
of other than those of our particular research study. Or in other words we can
say that secondary data is the data used previously for the analysis and the
results are undertaken in the next process.
