RATIONALE
Music, Arts and Physical Education is an important part of the educational process. It develops
skills, values and appreciation of Music and Arts. It is done through integrated and guided structural
activities.
As teacher, we must provide our learner with different activities which respond to an
integrated curriculum for an effective learning.

INTRODUCTION
This report includes all activities and the implementation of Music, Arts and Physical Education
curriculum in General Luna District from January 2014 to 2015.
I.

Pupils Development
a. District quiz bee was conducted last September 21, 2014 and participated by different
schools. District winner joined in the congressional Quiz bee (Padre Burgos, Quezon).
b. The District of General Luna has conducted the 1 st Congressional Christmas Cantata on
December 3, 2014 and it is one of a kind experience that caters special talents of the
pupils in singing.
c. The District of General Luna joined in the Division Christmas Cantata in Lopez, Quezon
(2nd placer).
d. Ika-24th Pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Sining was held on February 26, 2015 wherein
pupils showcase their talents showing the culture of Filipinos through different forms of
Arts such as Painting; interpretative dance, choral singing and etc. (General Luna,
Quezon)

II.

Staff Development
The district has conducted Echo Seminar Workshop concentrated in the 7 learning areas
specifically Music, Arts and Physical Education to help improve their teaching competence in
Music, Arts and Physical Education.
The training gave more emphasis in Physical Education which focused more on Physical
Fitness and on the required folk dances for each grade level. It also provides additional knowledge
in teaching Music.
Teachers from the District attend Workshop Seminar in the 1 st General Assembly of Music
and Arts in Lucena City last September 20, 2014 and Division Training Workshop on Strengthening
Theoretical Foundation of Music and Arts last December 3 & 4, 2014.

III.

OTHERS
Music, Arts and Folk dances gave life during year round activities of the District first is:
The Town Fiesta wherein some schools display their potential in the Drum and Lyre Band.

Then, Buwan ng Wika 2014, each grade level perform their respective folk dances; and

The Teachers Day Celebration with the theme, My Teacher, My Hero.

IV.

RECOMMENDATION
a. More instructional materials and teaching aids should be provided by teachers and
administrative support.
b. More trainings in MSEP for the continue upgrading professional growth.
