*What did Dumas write? Dumas wrote historical plays and novels.
*When did he die? Where? He died on the 5 th of December 1870 in France.
Note about the story
*How can you define a Musketeer? Musketeers are special soldiers who work
for the King or for the Cardinal.
*Name the four Musketeers: Athos, Aramis and Porthos. DArtagnan wanted to
be a musketeer.
Part 1
*When did the story begin? It began in April 1625
*Describe DArtagnan: DArtagnan was a young man who wanted to be a
musketeer. He was brave and handsome.
*Where did DArtagnan have to go? Why? He had to go to London to look for
the Queens diamonds.
Part 2
*What is DArtagnans motto? All for one and one for all
*What did they do? What did they buy? They left the house. They bought eight
horses.
*What happened between a man and Portos at an inn? They started fighting
beacuase one said that the Cardinal was more important than the King.
*What happened to Aramis? He was shot. He was very hurt.
*What happened when DArtagnan tried to pay the inn? The owner told him
that it was not real money.

*Where did Planchet and DArtagnan arrive? They arrived at the Port of Calais.
*Whose permission was needed in order to leave France? The Cardinals
permission.
*Why did DArtagnan apologised to a man? Because he cut him three times
with his sword.
*What happened when he arrived in London? DArtagnan could not speak in
English, but finally he arrived at the dukes Palace.
*Did the Duke hate the Queen? No. He was in love with the Queen.
*How many diamonds there were? Originally, there were 12 diamonds. In that
moment, there were only 10.
*Why did DArtagnan go to the port in London? What was the name of the
ship? He went to the port to go back France. The ship was the Sund.
*Who did DArtagnan see on one of the boats? He saw a very beautiful woman.

said she didnt wear them because she didnt want to lose them.

St. Cloud.

men entered her room. They were dressed like the cardinals musketeers.

*Who did DArtagnan visit the next morning? Who was he? He visited Monsieur
de Treville, the Capitan of the Kings musketeers.
*What was DArtagnan wearing when he went to the inn? He was wearing an
expensive uniform, he looked rich and important.
*Who did he find in the inn? He found Porthos
*Who was Aramis with? Why? He was with two priests. We wanted to become a
priest.
*Who is Marie Michon? She was Madmoiselle de Chevreuses maid. She was in
love with Aramis.
*Where were DArtagnan, Aramis and Athos going to meet? they were going to
meet in Paris.
*Why was Athos in the cellar? Because he thought that some men were going
to kill him and he was waiting for them.
*Why did Athos say that love can be a bad thing? Because of his friends love
story. This person was in love with a young woman who was an escaped
prisoner and he had to kill her.

*Where did DArtagnan and his friend arrive at? He arrived at Paris.
*Why were they exited? They were excited because they liked fighting for the
King.
*Who was the blond woman? Where did she live? She was the woman on the
boat in London.
*What was the ladys name? Milady Clarick.
*Who did Milady love? She loved Count de Wardes.
*Why did Milady want to kill Count of Wardes? Because, supposedly, he was
very rude to her. (But it was DArtagnan who wrote the letters, not him)
*What did Milady have on her arm? The fleur de lis (the prisoners mark)

Richelieu.
*Where did DArtagnan go once he was in La Rochelle? Who was he fighting
for? He fought for the French. He went to the English Camp to get information.
*Who sent the wine? Who died? The wine was sent by Milady. A soldier died.
Part 8
*Who did the Three Musketeers meet on their way to the soldiers camp? They
met Cardinal Richelieu. The Musketeers followed him.
*Who did the Cardinal meet in the inn? He met Milady.
*What did Milady ask the Cardinal to do? She wanted his help in order to kill D
Artagnan.
Part 9
*Where did Athos go? Why? He went to the Inn because he had a message to
hand in.
*Why was Milady going to England? She was going to kill Buckingham.
*According to DArtagnan, why was Lord de Winter going to help them?
Because Milady didnt like him and he didnt like her.
Part 10
*Where was Milady taken once she arrived in England? She was taken to prison
*Who was Felton? He was a young soldier who was in charge of keeping an eye
on Milady.
Part 11
*What did Milady tried to do to Lord de Winter? He tried to kill him with a knife.
*Did Milady scape? Who helped her? Yes. She followed Felton out of the castle.
They run away in a small boat and then on a ship.
Part 12
*Why did the British leave France? Because the war was finished.
*Why was DArtagnan sad? Because he didnt know where Constance was and
he thought he would not see her again.
*Where was Constance? Who went there? She was hiding in the convent at
Bethune.
*Why did Milady have to leave the convent? Because she could not fight
against DArtagnan and the Musketeers.
*What did Milady give to Constance? What happened? She gave her wine.
Constance died.
Part 13
*What was the weather like when they arrived at the convent? It was a rainy
night.

*According to DArtagnan and Lord de Winter, why was Milady guilty? She was
guilty because she killed Constance, because she sent poison to DArtagnan,
and because she wanted to kill the count de Wardes.
*Who killed Milady? Athos killed Milady with his sword.
Part 14
*What did the note count Richelieu gave o DArtagnan say? What was it for?
The person with this note acts for the good of France. With the letter D
Artagnan could kill anyone and was going to be lawful.
*Why was Athos leaving the Musketeers? Portos? Aramis? Athos was leaving
because he wanted to live as the count of la Fere again. Portos because he was
going to marry his love. And Aramis because he was going to be a priest.
*What did Athos tell DArtagnan? He told him that in the future he was going to
be happy again.
