Software installation
Installation
The procedure is basically the same for both new and
update installation. However, please refer to the yellow
information sheet at the beginning of these instructions.
Normally, installation covers the complete package for
USLT 2000, consisting of the USLT 2000 user-interface
and UltraWORKS (interface between user-interface and
ultrasonic functions).
Make certain that there is enough storage space on
your notebook (about double the database size).
Proceed as follows:
Switch the notebook/PC on. Windows will start.
Close all applications (including active drivers).
Insert the CD-ROM into the CD drive and your Key
Disk into the floppy disk drive. Check that the write
protection of the Key Disk has been removed.
The installation program will start automatically.
Follow the instructions of the installation program.
During the program run, please observe the following:

Note:
A Attention:
You should only change the cell format of the Excel
blank forms (templates)!
Apart from this, please pay attention to the following
exceptional features:
Any insertion or deletion of cells, rows, or columns
has fatal consequences with regard to the assignment
of USLT functions. They have been assigned to the row
and column numbers of the Excel spreadsheet in the
form definition. The values are inserted at the wrong
positions if the spreadsheet is subsequently edited!
descriptions, or ones edited by the operator may, however, consist of connected cells.
If you have modified a blank form, you should save the
revised version using a new name, and consequently
create a new form definition.
You can type long texts, including line feeds, in the
comment spaces of the USLT 2000. You should nevertheless already keep in mind at this point that the space
in the Excel spreadsheet is often limited for these entries. If you allow a line feed for the destination cells in
the Excel spreadsheet in the case of long comment
texts, the height of the entire row is automatically adjusted to the text length consequently leading to an
extension of the complete inspection report. An inspection report planned to fit on one page is then possibly
printed out on two pages.
Line feeds in the comment spaces of the USLT 2000
are shown by a special character in the Excel sheet.
