1) Copy the contents of the INPA Directory to your C: drive.

Do this by pressing my
computer and then c:
2) Run setup.exe from the setupXP directory.
3) Click next until you get to this screen

Make sure the options are as above and click next.

4) Untick backup and restore

5) Select STD:OBD

6) And com1

7) Go to your C drive, go to the BMW\Install folder. In here open


Instprog_ohne_Endemeldung
8) Select English and press continue

9) Make sure the Destination drive is c:

10) Select UK option for English

11) Tick all the boxes

12) Select Delete

After installation, go to start>programs>ediabas>inpa(ipo)

Select your car model, module and your good to go!


For people using PCMCIA ports,
Go to Control panel in windows
Go to System
In hardware go to device manager

If you go to ports and find the port for your pcmcia card
Double click on the port

Then go to port settings and advanced

Change the com port no to 1.
