How to change Program Name, Variant & Job owner id in Background Job?

Goto T.Code: SM37

Enter the Job Name. Put * in user name and select “Released” check box. Give the date in job
start condition.

The released status job will be displayed.

Select the job and goto menu -> Job -> Change.

Below screen will be displayed in change mode. If you need, you may also change the job class

Press “Step” command button to change program name, variant & job owner id.

The Below screen will be displayed.

Select the program (ie. Single click on report) and goto menu Step -> Change.

You may change:

1. User id (Type the new user id)


2. ABAP program (Enter the new program name)
3. Variant (Enter the variant (or) Press F4 for help)

Then, press save icon for save.

Now, the previous screen will be displayed. Press back button. Then press save icon from stand
menu bar. Below save message will come.

Now, your job is changed.
