9 Ma Dan-yang was the originator of the Song of the Eleven
Heavenly Star Points. They first appeared in print in the 12th
century CE Classic of the Jade Dragon. Xu Feng included
this text in his work Complete Collection of Acupuncture and
Moxibustion and added a twelfth point, Taichong LIV-3 and
gave the following indications: fright epilepsy wind,
distention of the throat and Heart, both legs unable to walk,
the seven shan, unilateral sagging and swelling of the
testicle, cloudy vision and lumbar pain.
