INSERT AN APPROPRIATE TITLE HERE INTRODUCTION As is known to all, with an increasingly number of cars, there is a serious problem in Auckland traffic. Traffic congestion results in a severe pollutoin in environment and the wasted time travelling, which is estimated to be up to 47 minutes per hour stuck in traffic. Furthermore, it decreases the efficiency which has a bad impact in New Zealand economy. The reason why is that the inadequate public transport and lack of roads to accommodate all commuters. A new ride-sharing app called Kiwiride coming up, which is a friendly app for commuters to contact with drivers who are travelling in the same direction and drivers can send them to their destinations. This method will help commuters save time to go to work because the number of cars in the road decreases and then then pollution also decreases.
3. BUSINESS SECTION 3.1 Vision Our vision is to provide a safe, affordable means of commuting and reducing the causes of congestion, ultimately leading to a cleaner, more pleasant city and world.

Force: High/Low: Justification: Buyer power: Low Many companies has built customer loyalty, for example, In May 2013, Apple announced that 50 billion apps had been downloaded from its App Store (Apple,2013) 2
Supplier power: Low There are numerous apps coming up every day, so buyers have many choices to download different app. Threat of new entrants: Low The entry barries are very high because of the existing of some big bands such as Apple, Google and Andriod. Threat of substitutes: High Customers have many aternatives to download different app from different companies because the switching cost is low. Rivalry among existing competitors: High The competition is fierce bacause the price and functions of the app from different companies are almost the same.
Overall attractiveness of the industry: Application software is convient for customers to solve the problem. The demand of application software is so high that many people want to start business in this industry.
3.3 Customers and Thei r Needs The customers of this app are people who want to save time on traveling. For instance, commuters go to work everyday, it will be waste of time when they catch the traffic jam, so they want to use this app to aviod being late for working. In addition, the government is also the customer of this app , the social cost from air pollution in Auckland is estimated to be $1.07 billion per year (Aucklandcouncil ,2013), so they encourage people to buy this app to reduce the air pollution and they may regulate the people who work in the government to buy this app. 3.4 The Product and Service A ride-sharing app called Kiwiride. People can use this low cost app to call the drivers who go to the destination in the same direction with them, and the drivers can send them to where they want to go, this particular app will not involve drivers charging a fee. A small monthly subscription fee is paid by the passenger that goes towards the funding of the app and the rewards of the driver. Points are earned by 3
the driver for each kilometer they drive their passengers, with these points earning the driver rewards, such as discount vouchers from companies wanting to appear clean and green, in addition to fuel discount vouchers. This app will also guarantee customers safety, both parties will have to sign up with their name, phone number, and address verification will be an extra step (adapted from the model of Trade-Me) to create a safe environment. .
3.5 Suppliers and Partners We need to find large software supplies in the world, like Apple and Microsoft these companies. They provide us with a lot of software so that we can apply our design and idea into the software to express what we want to show and they also give us a platform that customers can download this app. We also need to find our partners who are related to this app. This app need customers to pay online, so we should collaborate with those companies which are in charge of online paying, we can use their systems to make transactions with customers easily. 3.6 Strategy: Broad Market Low cost We focus on broad market, because all commuters will benfit on this app, they can use this app to call the drivers to go te work, so there will be a large market for this app, the number of the downloads of this app will be numerous. This low cost app will be affordable for everyone, people only need to pay few dollars to download the app and they can use it forever.
3.7 Value Chain Activity: The idea and technol ogy we use in this app The most important valie chain activity is the idea and technology we use in this app. Our purpose is to ruduce the air polution and aviod traffic congestion to help commuters to save time to go to work. Using app is a convient and quick way for customers, it is also a technological application. For example, if you are in a certain area, this app can locate your place by GPS, then you input the place where you want to go, we will give you a range of drivers who are around you and they go to the same direction with you, so you can call drivers and let them send you to the destination. In order to make profits, we focus on broad market, the more people use this app the more profit we will earn. In addition, we consider the safety of customers, so customers should register their name, phone number, and address. We also have feedback system to ensure people behave themselves. Our idea and technology are entirely thinking of customers, so we think this app will attract a lot of customers by our design.

3.8 Business Processes 3.8.1. DRIVERS SEARCHING PROCESS Firstly people pay and download this app, after we accept their registered personal details we will give them a clear state that teaches them how to use this app. When people use this app and they search the drivers around them, we can receive a signal from customers and we will select the drivers first to ensure which drivers are available, then we give them a list of the names and numbers of drivers. 3.8.2. FEEDBACK PROCESS After customers arriving at their destinations, we need them to give a feedback of drivers, it can be a comment or suggestion. So we can grade the drivers according to the feedback that customers give and select better drivers, it can create a safer, more pleasant ride, ensuring people behave themselves. 6

3.10.1. IDENTITY AUTHENTICATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM- When customers pay for this app, we will let them write their name, phone number, and address, then after verifying their identity they can use this app. This system is to ensure the safety. 3.10.2. - DRIVERS SEARCHING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM This is a specific system on how customers find the drivers. When users start using the app, we will receive a signal from them and then we will search the drivers immediately by GPS. Eventually, we will help customers find the drivers. 3.10.3. FEEDBACK MANAGEMENT SYSTEM This system help company have a better development by giving feedback to drivers, the company grades the drivers so drivers will behave better, it also creates a good relationship with customers. 8
