dekho 1st of all adivce no#1: cts me jb b jao bhai kha pi ke jao coz wait karane me mahir hain ye log... bhayankar type wait karaenge... Anyways, i reached there at 9am... 1st couple of hours we just kept staring at each others faces trying to find out da known faces out f da crowd mean while they were just checking da admit cards n were asking for our resumes n distributing da registration ids etc.. Well then aftr another couple of hours they called out our names n then in a group of arnd 10 guys/gals they took us to another waiting spot (Lets cm straight to da tech interview) Mind u for this i had to wait for around 4-5 hours...my tech started around 2.30 pm... i was really lucky as i had a ma'am in my panel arnd 35 years of age who sported specs n seemed very humble..(actually til today in all my interviews i hd 'MUCHOO WALE UNCLES' n all of them seemed so Khadus to me) so this tym i took a sigh of relief... MAAM: hi asif have a seat... ME : gudafternoon ma'am... (ofcourse wid a smile) MAAM : so temme smthn about u.. ME: i sed ma'm we used to draw circuits using sm software...

(is bar sach me yad tha ) MAAM: ok nw m giving u scenario...see u meet an 8th std student smwhere n he asks u this asif what did u study in ELECTRical ENgineering in these 4 years..?? so wat wil be ur answer...?? ME : maam i wud xplain him abt current, voltage, transformers, motors explaing just da basics to dat 8th std guy.. MAAM : so in these 4 years all u studied was CURRENT N VOLTAGE...?? ME : maam DA thing is if i start explaining him about POWER SYSTEM, CONTROL SYSTEM and ELECTRICAL MACHINES I dnt think he'll be able to grab anythn... but on a nutshel i wil explain him abt da basic laws n wil let him knw abt how electricity is generated by diferent methods n how it is transmited n how we can take measures to just avoid da loss etc... (she appeared convinced) MAAM : so u said u worked on ur project wid 7 members rite..so here's a situation...u people r abt to reach da deadline of ur project submission.. nw 3 of ur group members js call u up n say they wont b able to cm n work fr da project...nw u call da 4th guy n ask him to cm as others were nt available n unfortunately even he makes an excuse..so u r js left wid 2 of ur mates...n w how r u gona manage??? ME: (on this question i narrated her a real life situation during my college days n answered her) maam actualy i had a rock band in my colleg n we were 7 members too... so we had a WAr of ands lined up da next week n we really needed to win dat one.. n unfortunately 2 of our band mates cudnt make it...'da bassie n da rhythm guitarist' so so we were in a dilemma whether to go fr da Gig or nt... but we dint quit we managed to shift roles and me being da lead singer took da responsibilty of playing da rhythm guitar as well and da growler in my band took da bass guitar..so finaly we went there did our best n came back winning da 2nd prize... ( to be honest ye wala thoda madeup answer tha actually mein bus base guitarist didi ki shadi me gya tha n so my GRowler hd to played da BAss...so who cares thoda bht jhoot bolna padta hai yar n so I did...) (so i sed her)... maam nw toking abt da project evn here we wont quit but js share da responsibilities dat wil ofcourse increase da work load but at da end wen we'll b appreciated fr da gud workk then dat feeling wud really make us feel proud... MAAM: asif u have writen here in ur resume dat u r really innovative n creative... justify it...?? ME : maam to b honest ELectrical ENgineering hs a couple of subjects wich r realy tuff rather boring i wud say n its too hard to understand...so i always thot to mug up a couple of topics rather dan bleeding my brain out tryin to understand em..so wat i did was i tried muggin em up js like i mug up songs... so i tried reading em in a way as if i am singing n dats how i really succeeded to mugup a few things... ME: gud evening sir.. m fine sir (6.30 ho gye the yar sham ke ) H.R: so u are frm bhagalpur...rite.?? temme smthn abt this place...?? ME: (i started boasting abt my hometown..waise i dint hav mch points abt it but i managed to speak abt it... i evn told him abt this movie GANGAJAL wich ws based on an incident dat occurred in BHAGALPUR) H.R: so is ur city just da same just like they depicted in da movie..all those AD guys GAN gs n stuff..?? (he was tryin to b humorous ) ME: no sir not at all... it was a case of da ninetees i gues.. rite nw its all peace over there...talking abt gangs, i guess not bhagalpur but wasseypur is famous fr having 'gang wars' H.R: asif temme hw far is wasseypur frm bhagalpur??? have u seen dat movie GANGS OF WASSEYPUR ?? ( he kept smiling...it seemed even he was a gr8 fan of ANuraG Kashyap's movie just like me ) ME: ( ofcourse yar wasseypur kaun nahi janta hai.. GAngs of waseypur k ane se pehle se hi janta tha main...) sir its in Dhanbad... its a 7 hrs journey via train...honestly wasseypur hs been depicted so wel in that movie gangs of wasseypur... dats like one of my all tym favs... i hav watched it so many times wid my frens in my hostel during my colleg days... Technical round:I)At first they will ask you general questions like tell me something about yourself etc..please guys mention your hobbies into this answer and if hobby is specific it's better.apart from that please mention the subject with which you are food at in the introduction itself so that they would directly come to the next question to you about your area of strength.. II)Since i declared my strength in the intro itself..the next question to me was regarding my strong area.non-departmental guys like of ECE,EIE,EE etc branch don't panic if you are not from cse or it background..just try to speak of which you are good at..since i was from ece background i told them which i was good at..they asked few questions regarding that.

III)Then They straightway asked about my project.please guys this is earnest request to you:they are focusing more and more onto projects.so prepare it well and made it as presentable as you can.this is the area where you can impress them most.And even got selected for the HR round.i focused more onto the project and got selected for the HR Round. HR Round: This is the round where most of the elimination is being done.70 to 75 percent guys got selected for technical round but got rejected in the HR. i)Firstly they will ask you about general questions like intro etc.(once again they asked to me) ,why CTS ,why CTS should hire you etc..The most noticeable thing in this round was that pls pls pls when they ask that "whether they have any relocation problem??".never say yes to this.The moment you said no they would call off your interview instantly... ii)second noticeable thing was that they would more focus onto your communication skill,convincing power,stress management(they may put some stress questions to you),confidence and how much unbiased you are towards general topics.please guys never favour any particular personality or thing if they ask you that what is your take onto this person or personality.If you got biased then your rejection chances increases.. iii)Prepare Yourself with the knowledge of your city,famous person or any other famous thing.this was a common question to us.please take care that you in your answer should always praise to the place where you were born..but at the same time don't favour any personality..they would confuse you in this if you do so..they asked me of my state,capital and famous personalities.... iv)Although this time around they are hiring they are hiring for the post of program analyst trainee they may ask you question like this so in order to check your interest:"would you be comfortable if you are given task of tech support?"please say yes to this question.they are just asking to check your interest in cts.. v)last but not the least please please please answer "no" to this question if they asks "do you have any relocation problem?" If they ask you to submit your document(xerox),then chances of your selection is higher.If they don't that means you are rejected... finally all the best to the guys who are appearing for the next CTS interview.Hope this would serve you to a bit...

CTS one placed guy experience :Tech Round : I Went In Said Hello Sir and i was asked to take my seat and he asked my 2 mins to relax Then He Started Asking Questions (Am From ECE Background) Tech : Hai Prasanth Tell Me About Yourself and also Tell Me IN Brief About Your Project ME : I Answered With Confidence and explained about my project for about 10 mins. While doing this he took my certificates and asked me about some of my seminar topics which i've given at college Then He asked my questions from resume, each and every line of them. I Answered !! As My Project Was From Embedded domain and i explained him every little detail about that , then he started asking me questions on communication (My Subjects ECE).
