THOUGHTS FROM BRAD
I want to thank those who journeyed with us to the SE Ohio Food Bank in Logan yesterday. Your heart for ministry was greatly appreciated. I am sure those who receive the food will be thankful for your willingness to labor on their behalf. You have heard us mention that we will have a massive Prayer Wall at our church in May. This 27 paneled wall will help us better realize the need to take Jesus to the masses. You will want to invite your friends and family to see this fabulous Prayer Wall. We are working hard to make this a great weekend for you. Our Unleashed for the Unreached team had a great planning meeting last week. Preparations are being made right now for a very special event that will take place May 17-18th. There will be special speakers and awesome prayer opportunities throughout the weekend. We will place a strong emphasis on global missions and pray for the unreached people groups of the world. More details coming next week. In our preparations for transitioning to one combined worship service, we will offer a learning environment for (age 3 through 2nd grade). We hope our members will see how they might help with this endeavor as we seek to provide an opportunity for learning on the childs level. More details in future articles. We are searching for 2-3 people who will perform a random act of kindness on May 10th. The local YMCA has given us permission to assist them at the annual road race that they sponsor each year. Your task is easy as you would simply stand near the finish line and give a bottle of water to each participant as they complete the race. If you can help with this, contact me soon. I know it is Mothers Day weekend but it would require very little time and effort and it would be a great way to let the community know we exist. I will leave you with this quote from Rick Rusaw: Getting out of your own way is difficult, and going out of your own way is even more difficult. In His Service, Brad
BITS FROM BRO. DAVE
SUNDAY EVENINGS IN THE SANCTUARY: This Sunday evening (4/6), our study is A Rebellious Prophet, Jonah (Jonah 4:2). The final two messages, of this series, will deal with Zechariah and Malachi. We would be happy to have you join us for these Sunday evening studies at 6:00 PM. MIDWEEK BIBLE STUDIES: On Wednesday, April 2, we returned to our regular schedule of midweek Bible studies. Our 10 AM and 6:30 PM groups will be examining I Timothy. This is one of my typical chapter and verse studies. Why not join us for either of these sessions. A continuing study of II Timothy and Titus will carry us into the summer. SENIOR SAINTS IN THE SMOKIES: As I write this, we have forwarded seven registrations for this grand event. There is still time to register! This will be the 30th anniversary for this senior event, held on the Johnson University (formerly Johnson Bible College) campus in Knoxville, Tennessee. The date is May 26-30. I would, certainly, encourage any of our folk to consider attending this great senior gathering (age 55 and up). To qualify for the early bird rate (a savings of $10 per person), registrations must be submitted by April 15. See me for registration forms or for any questions. FINAL THOUGHT: Nothing is more annoying than to have someone repeat, word for word, something you should have not said in the first place.

Core Values...
Values central to the life, mission and vision of Fifth Avenue Church of Christ are: Christ-Centered Worship
We make it a priority every Sunday to celebrate Jesus through our music. (Romans 11:36-12:1-2). We focus on Jesus through gracebased preaching and teaching & understand the Bible is our authority (2 Timothy 3:16).
Church Health and Biblical Balance
Church health becomes reality when God's people seek harmony & live consistently. We expect every member to protect the unity of Christ's Church. (Romans 12:16; 1 Peter 3:8)
Global Evangelism
We are constant to our founding call to worldwide evangelism, proclaiming to all that Jesus Christ is the Savior, Healer, and SoonComing King (Acts 20:27).
Fellowship and Ministry
After people begin their journey with Jesus, we will equip them to find a ministry based upon their strengths. We want everyone to serve in some capacity. (1 Corinthians 12:12-27) We also want His church to be the living evidence of His love and power to the world.
Discipleship
We do not want you to "get religion" here at Fifth Avenue Church of Christ in Lancaster. We are all about teaching you that Jesus seeks a daily relationship with Him through a life of obedience. In other words, we want to see the things you are taught actually change your lifestyle & your daily decisions.
How Can I Respond Today?
At FACC we look to the Bible for guidance on all issues. We believe that Gods Word is clear concerning what a person must do to become a Christian. Trust that Jesus can bring you to salvation. Turn (repent) from the sin in your life. Confess your desire to make Jesus the Lord of your life. Be baptized (immersed) in water for the forgiveness of sins and to receive the Holy Spirit into your life. To make this life decision for Christ, we ask that you come forward during our commitment song at the conclusion of the Sunday message. Baptized believers are welcome to become members at FACC by coming forward on Sunday morning or by seeing our Senior Minister to discuss this further. We ask that you complete a series of Curious classes to help you better understand what you are committing to as a member. If you would like to take a Curious class, please indicate this on your Silent Roll Call Card.
Social Conscience
We place high value on the sanctity of human life, of Biblical marriage and morality, and we welcome ethnic diversity (Isaiah 56:7; Philippians 2:15-16).
OUR PURPOSE
WE EXIST TO
Exalt Gods Greatness; Evangelize Gods Work Equip Gods People Express Gods Love through Jesus Christ
OUR MISSION
To Love God and Love People!
