ITINERARY: DAY 01 - SATURDAY: CASABLANCA (Dinner) Welcome at Mohammed V airport by the local representative. A brief review of the tour will be given during your transfer to the hotel. Check in, dinner and accommodation (Restaurant closes at 10h30 pm and no dinner served in the room). DAY 02 - SUNDAY: CASABLANCA / RABAT (95 km) (Breakfast / Dinner) Visit of the economic capital of Morocco, the central market, the Habous district, the Royal Palace, the Mohamed V square, the residential area of Anfa and the exterior of the impressive Hassan II Mosque. Continue to Rabat the Administration capital of the country. City Tour to visit the Royal Palace, (Mechouar), the Oudaya Kasbah, the Mohamed V mausoleum, and the Hassan Tower. Dinner and accommodation at the hotel Optional (FB Package): Fish lunch at one of the oceanfront restaurants. DAY 03 - MONDAY: RABAT / MEKNES / FEZ (220 km) (Breakfast / Dinner) Departure to Meknes and visit the Ismalian capital famous for its 40 km long walls, visit of the Bab Mansour, the Royal stables and the Jewish quarter. After lunch, continue to the holy city of Moulay Idriss, and visit the ruins of the Roman city of Volubilis, before continuing to Fez. Dinner and accommodation at the hotel. Optional (FB Package): Lunch at a typical Moroccan Restaurant DAY 04 - TUESDAY: FEZ (Breakfast / Dinner) The whole day is devoted to the city-sightseeing of Fez, the religious capital of Morocco, the medieval Medina with its Attarine and Bou Anania Medersas, the Nejjarine fountain, the Moulay Idriss mausoleum, and the Karaouine mosque. Afternoon visit the Fez Jdid. Dinner and accommodation at the hotel Optional (FB Package): Moroccan lunch at a traditional restaurant in Medina DAY 05 - WEDNESDAY : FEZ / MIDELT / ERFOUD/ MERZOUGA (450 KM) (Breakfast / Dinner) Departure to Erfoud via the mountains and the cedar woods of the middle Atlas passing by Ifrane, a charming ski resort and Azrou, an important handicraft centre. Stop in Midelt for lunch. Continuation to Erfoud via Errachidia and the Ziz valley and its palm groves, which are the evident reason to organise the yearly date Festival in Erfoud. Then transfer by 4X4 to Merzouga. Dinner and accommodation at Auberge Tombouctou (Clients should chose before departure accommodation here in the Hotel or in the tent camp (Bivouac) Optional (FB Package): Lunch in Midelt DAY 06 - THURSDAY: ERFOUD / RISSANI /TINGHIR / OUARZAZATE (390 KM) (Breakfast / Dinner) Early morning, small walking excursion to see the sunrise over the sandsdunes of Merzouga. After breakfast at the Auberge, Back to rfoud by 4x4 and than meet again with bus and continuation to Rissani. The holy city where Moulay Ali Cherif, ancestor of the Alaouite dynasty is buried. Visit of the Kasbah of Taourirt. Dinner and accommodation in Ouarzazate DAY 07- FRIDAY : OUARZAZATE / AIT BENHADDOU / MARRAKESH (230 KM) (Breakfast / Dinner) Visit of the Kasbahs of Taouirt Tiffeltout and Ait Benhaddou, the most spectacular fortress in the south of Morocco, which has been the set of many films like "Laurence of Arabia". Departure to Marrakesh via the Tichka pass offering an impressive landscape in the heart of the Atlas mountain chain . Dinner and accommodation at the hotel. Optional (FB package): Lunch at the terrace of the restaurant facing the Kasbah DAY 08 SATURDAY: MARRAKESH (Breakfast / Lunch) The entire day will be devoted to the visit of Marrakesh, the second oldest Imperial city, known as the pearl of the South. The city was founded by the Almoravides at the end of the 11th century. The historical sightseeing includes the Menara garden, the Saadian tombs, the Bahia palace,and the the Koutoubia . Lunch at the hotel Afternoon, visit of the souks and handicraft quarters displaying a variety of items and the famous place Djema El Fna with its non stop entertainment. Dinner with fantasia (optional). Accommodation at the hotel. DAY 09 - SUNDAY: MARRAKESH / ESSAOUIRA (160 KM) (Breakfast / Dinner) Morning at leisure and at 11.00 am departure to Essaouira. Visit of this idyllic fishermen town known as the former Mogador and Portuguese stronghold and famous for its woodcarving handicraft. Dinner and accommodation at the hotel. Optional (FB package) Fish lunch at a local restaurant DAY 10 - MONDAY: ESSAOUIRA / SAFI / EL JADIDA / CASABLANCA (270 KM) (Breakfast / Dinner) Departure to Safi, also a former Portuguese fortress and famous for its pottery. Sightseeing of the town. Continuation to Oualidia via the picturesque coastal road, with view on its superb bay. Continuation to El Jadida, sight see of this town including the famous citadel, a reminder of the Portuguese occupation of the 16th century. Continuation to Casablanca.
