Adobe Flash (formerly Macromedia Flash) is a multimedia platform used to add animation, video, and interactivity to web pages. Flash is frequently used for advertisements, games and flash animations for broadcast.

2. What is meant by key frame?


A key frame in animation and filmmaking is a drawing that defines the starting and ending points of any smooth transition. he drawings are called !frames! because their position in time is measured in frames on a strip of film. A sequence of key frames defines which movement the viewer will see, whereas the position of the key frames on the film, video or animation defines the timing of the movement. "ecause only two or three key frames over the span of a second do not create the illusion of movement, the remaining frames are filled with in betweens.

3. What is meant by layer in flash? How to create a normal Layer?


#ayers help to organi$e the artwork in the document. %t can draw and edit ob&ects on one layer without affecting ob&ects on another layer. %n areas of the 'tage with nothing on a layer, you can see through it to the layers below. o create a normal layer, do one of the following( )lick the *ew #ayer icon in the imeline in the bottom left corner of the imeline. +ight,click (or )ontrol,click) an e-isting layer and choose %nsert #ayer in the menu that appears.

here are five types of layers you can use in Flash( *ormal layers contain most of the artwork in a F#A file. Mask layers contain ob&ects used as masks to hide selected portions of layers below them. Masked layers are layers beneath a mask layer that you associate with the mask layer. /nly the portion of the mask layer not covered by the mask is visible. 0uide layers contain strokes that can be used to guide the arrangement of ob&ects on other layers or the motion of classic tween animations on other layers. For more information, see 0uide layers and )reate classic tween motion along a path in the Flash documentation. 0uided layers are layers associated with a guide layer. he ob&ects on the guided layer can be arranged or animated along the strokes on the guide layer. 0uided layers can contain static artwork and classic tweens, but not motion tweens.

5. What is meant by FL ?
he F#A file format is the !master! document format for Flash pro&ects. 1henever we create a new Flash file in the Macromedia Flash authoring program, %t create an F#A file. his contains all the elements which make up the finished product, including graphics, animation instructions, action script code, comments, etc. F#A files can only be opened in Flash (not the Flash 2layer).

Flash can create two types of tweened animation using timeline( Motion ween ; 'hape ween )reation of Motion<'hape ween using timeline is the basics of Flash. Motion ween is nothing but tweening a 'ymbol=s movement from one position to another. o implement Motion ween all that you have to do is, provide Flash with 'ymbol=s initial position and the end position. +est is taken care by Flash. %sn=t it really simple. "y tweening shapes, you can create an effect similar to morphing, making one shape appear to change into another shape over time. Flash can also ween the location, si$e, and color of shapes.
