Note On Review/Inspection of Flagship/Other Important Centrally Sponsored Schemes in State of Punjab, 25 To 27 November, 2009

16 key schemes were reviewed, including Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, Accelerated Irrigation Benefits Programme, Rajiv Gandhi Gramin Vidyutikaran Yojana. The state's financial performance and utilization rates are discussed for each scheme. It is noted that low release of the state share is a major factor impacting scheme performance in Punjab, as the state has only released 22% of required funds. Issues and progress with various schemes are also outlined.
