Evaluated and recommended modifications required to increase Calcination capacity form 1.65million metric tons to 1.95 million tons per year. Successfully investigated, diagnosed and solved dry ice discoloration problem at Jamaica Oxygen and Acetylene. Supervisor Shift Controller Group, Sept. 2008 June 2009 Responsible for Plant Operations ensuring safe and efficient production delivery. Setting of weekly production plan. Chaired daily production meetings with area managers and other support groups. Prepared and distributed weekly Plant Performance report to plant personnel and owners. Supervised five Shift Controllers until closure of Plant June 2009 Supervisor Red Side Process Engineering Group, June 2007 September 2008 Responsible for process performance in the Digestion and Clarification areas. Worked on projects implementation and gave special focus to charge control and energy performance, in addition to supervising. Carried out process, safety and environmental investigations as required and implemented recommendations for improvement. Recommended and oversaw the implementation of improvement project to reduce the loss of liquor to the environment. Completed testing of MaxHT (a sodalite scale inhibitor) and evaluated savings potential to be in the order of US$2.0million per year. Implemented use as part of normal operations. Promoted to Staff Engineer 2004 (Project Engineer: Process Development Group), 2004 2007 Worked on development projects as well as supported the process engineering group (special focus on the Calcination area). Successful scale inhibitor testing shown to inhibit sodalite scale formation in digestion and evaporation heaters. Digestion flow capability increased by 10% as a result and the potential for improvement in Plant energy and soda performance was demonstrated. Evaluated and recommended Calcination modification required to efficiently handle increased production from 1.65 metric tons per year to 1.95 million tons per year. Executed improvement to hydrate wash system reducing wash water factor by 0.1t/t. (savings of $1500US/day) Member of the S.T.A.R.T (Safety Through, Awareness, Recognition and Team-work) Committee from 2002 2008; worked along with Safety Department to improve Plant safety. Promoted: Superintendent Production Superintendent Clarification Area, 2002 2004 Directly responsible for operations and indirectly responsible for maintenance in area. Responsible for a team of 65 persons including 2 Day Supervisors and 5 Line Supervisors. Key player in guiding area to meet soda loss targets.

Process Shift Controller, 2001 2002 Assisted in the setting up and implementation of Shift Controllers at the Plant and worked as a Shift Controller for over one year. Preparation of training material and program for Shift Controllers and assisting in their training. Worked with operating areas to deliver production targets in a safe efficient and environmentally friendly manner. Promoted: Senior Process Engineer, May 1998 Project & Process Engineer at Calcination, 1997 2001 Project Engineer 1999 2001 Worked on projects in Calcination area and coached area Engineer. Improved cooling of alumina and reduced steam consumption to hydrate wash water by modifying flou-solids cooler cooling water system and feed water system to fresh water tank. (50% reduction in steam consumption and 20 deg. C reduction in alumina temperature.) Deputy Leader Alpart 2000 Soda Loss Reduction Team. Designed and implemented action plan to improve quality of alumina. Soda in product and Surface Area (BET) improved from average to superior performance.
