ONE WAY PORTION OF KLONDIKE?
PUBLIC MEETING DEC 2
The City will be constructing an urban cross section for Klondike between March Road and Sandhill, complete with sidewalks on both sides of the road. This project will take about two years as it re uires a road design !budgeted in "#$%& and construction in "#$'. Concern for the safety of pedestrians in the meantime has led to consideration of temporary changes to the road. The suggestion is to make that part of Klondike one way and to place a barrier along the road to cordon off part of the roadway, as a protected path for pedestrians and cyclists. ( public meeting to discuss the options ) one way east or one way west or lea*ing it as is with no pedestrian path ) will be held at +ellowship ,aptist Church, $#-. Klondike Road, on Monday /ec. "nd from - to 0 pm. 1f a one way option is accepted the path would be installed in the spring and remain in place until the construction is completed and sidewalks a*ailable. The 02 bus would be di*erted in one direction with the preliminary suggestion to use Ma3well ,ridge to access Marconi.
