ECDIS Check-Reporting Form

This document is a feedback form for mariners to report on the performance of their ECDIS systems in displaying Electronic Navigational Charts (ENCs) and detecting navigational hazards. The form includes checks on how ECDIS systems display various chart features like navigation areas, lights, underwater features, and route checks. Mariners are asked to complete a form for each ECDIS system and provide any screenshots showing differences from expected results. Completed forms should be sent to the International Hydrographic Organization.

ENC/ECDIS Data Presentation and Performance Check for Ships

If, as a result of the data presentation and performance checks, any significant operational
deficiency is observed, then mariners should contact the manufacturer or service agent directly to
seek assistance. Where there are differences with the figures expected from the checks, it may
be helpful to provide screenshots using a digital camera. Please include those screenshots with
this reporting form if it is convenient.
