The benchmark index reached an intra-day high of 1,160.61 boosted by active buying momentum in large cap stocks. Dealers said they expect the index to reach 1,165 points this week as global markets are expected to bottom out. Sime Darby rose 25 cents to RM7.80 while Telekom fell 1 cent to RM2.97. Trading volume was 1.111 billion shares valued at RM1.842 billion.
