Fluxopump Retrofit (Uk)

Before the retrofit, the Fluxo pump had issues with capacity, stability, maintenance needs, and power consumption. F.L. Smidth redesigned key components of the Fluxo pump to address these issues. The retrofit program reuses the compressor system and conveying pipe but replaces components like the air pipe, outlet bend, and valves. The retrofitted pump shows improvements in conveying capacity, uptime, maintenance requirements, and power usage.

Fluxo Pump - Retrofit

F.L.Smidth has in recent years carried out a number of modifications and upgrades on existing Fluxo pumps and is now introducing a complete Fluxo Pump retrofit programme. A retrofit programme is based on re-using: & The compressor system and & The conveying pipe. The retrofit programme normally entails: & New annular air pipe incorporating redesigned nozzles. & New outlet bend with by-pass pipe. & Specially designed nozzle pipe. & Modified compressed air valve. & New vent valve. & New control concept including local control box with pilot valves, pressure transmitter, self-adjusting level indicator and load cells. The overall purpose of the new and redesigned components is to minimise operational difficulties and save maintenance work wherever possible. Each Fluxo Pump retrofit should be judged on its own merits, but overall performance so far has been quite impressive. Our general experience is the longer the conveying pipe, the greater the scope for improvement in conveying capacity. The payback time of the investment may be very short due to the savings achieved in maintenance requirements and power consumption. The immediate advantage of a retrofit is the shorter time required to
