DP - SAP - Backup - Maximum Number of Processess Exceeded Error

The online backup of the BIQ database has been failing for the last few days. The error message indicates that the maximum number of processes has been exceeded for the database. To resolve this, the SAP kernel needs to be changed by the Enterprise - SAP team to allow more processes, which will require an outage. A ticket needs to be opened with the Enterprise - SAP team to make the required kernel change.

Santosh, The reason for this online backup failure is not just the line that you copied

and pasted in the beginning email. A lot of times you have to look above the line that you pasted. I have copied some messages that occurred before the message that you have here. You will notice the line that I have in red. This message indicates that the SAP kernel needs to be changed to allow more processes to run against the database. This will require an outage from the customer in order for the Enterprise - SAP team to make the change. There is no clear indication regarding this is a kernel change, I just have seen this error in the past and that is what is needed to fix the failure. An associated ticket or a TE ticket needs to be made to the Enterprise - SAP team to fix this problem.
