Final Project Report Format
The final project for EC333L1 is to design and construct a DUAL fixed/variable voltage Power Supply. This power supply will accept standard wall outlet voltage (220V, 60Hz) and output two sets of DC voltages, capable of supplying 1A/2A of current:
It will be comprised of pure solid state devices and optional to use an IC regulator. Dates Aug. 28st: Sept. 4th, 11th: Sept. 18th, 25th: Oct. 2nd: Oct. 9th: Grading Grading will be done on a 100 percent scale with the following weighting: Clear Schematic design: Results and discussion: Assembling Functionality and working power supply: Following Project Requirements and fineness of work: Project Presentation Project Report document 10% 20% 20% 10% 10% 20% 10% Project proposal deadline (This will include Chapter 1 and the Schematic Diagram) Project Making in Laboratory Class Last day(s) of Project Making in Laboratory Class, project will be returned to the students Free day (we will not meet this day) to give you ample time to finish the project Power Supply presentation and report deadline
The final project is equivalent to fifty percent (50%) of your final exam. Presentation All power supplies must be presented to Engr. Ablidas together with the panel to gain credit. You will not be submitting the actual power supply, only the report, but we will evaluate your power supply at the time of presentation, no later than Oct. 9th. Aesthetics Part of the grade will be based on the user friendliness and aesthetics of the power supply. Try to make it look as professional as possible. Extra Credit If you wish to add extra features to your power supply such as voltmeters, 7-segment displays, cooling fans, whateveryou-can-think-of, extra credit will be given. The amount of extra credit will be on a case-to-case basis.
DOCUMENT INSTRUCTIONS:
1. The project report must be submitted in two copies (one copy for grading and one for department) duly signed by the instructor. 2. The length of the report may be about 20 to 30 pages. 3. The project report shall be computerized (English, Font Arial Narrow, Size-12 point) and printed on A4 size paper. 4. The project report shall be compiled with a transparent cover folder in assigned section color. 5.
