PARK HYATT HOTEL HVAC SYSTEM HVAC SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

1.0 General

The Air conditioning system is designed in such a way that the air conditioned space is maintain 23 1 deg. C Db temperature & Rh not exceeding 555% for All smoke free lobbies, Car parking areas, all toilets and all pantry rooms. The smoke free lobbies ventilation system shall operate during the fire mode only. The chilled water system is designed to supply the chilled water at a temp of 7 deg C inlet 12 deg C Out let to the AHUs and FCUs. The Chillers shall operate to meet the overall building load requirement throughout the day. Chiller operation shall be by a combination of chiller optimization and sequencing. The cooled air supplied by AHUs , CSUs , FCUs and Cassette Type Units to the areas served by them shall ensure the inside conditions of 23 Deg C 1 Deg C Dry Bulb Temperature (DBT) with RH not more than 60 %. The cooled and dehumidified air (supply air) shall be conveyed to the air conditioned areas through Galvanized Sheet Steel (GSS) ducting and distributed to the air conditioned areas through supply air diffusers. The air handling and air distribution system shall be a constant Air volume (CAV) system. The GSS ducting, diffusers, AHUs and the associated control system shall be designed, erected, and commissioned by us to ensure that the air conditioned space is maintained at the temperature and humidity levels specified above. The return air from the air conditioned areas is brought back to the AHU room using the false ceiling void (space available between the false ceiling and roof) by means of return air diffusers and grilles. Fire dampers and volume control dampers shall be provided at all necessary locations. Volume control dampers shall be provided at all branch and sub branch ducts from individual main and sub main ducts whether shown on drawing or not to facilitate proper air balancing. Fire dampers of proper rating shall be provided wherever duct penetrates a fire.

The building shall be provided with a Direct Digital control (DDC) integrated building management system (IBMS). The BMS shall be designed for remote operation, control, and monitoring of the ACMV system and equipment including Pumps, Chiller s, Cooling towers ,AHUs, Valves, Dampers and all mechanical ventilation fans, etc. Performance of the HVAC system shall be demonstrated by ETA prior to the commissioning of the BMS system in the manual mode. The HVAC contractor (ETA) shall interface with BMS contractor for installation of devices and successful commissioning of the system. The chiller internal parameters shall be provided to the BMS system through industry standard BAC net / Modbus TRU protocol. We have installed motorized on / off butterfly valves with limit switches for on / off status. Actuator shall accept remote on / off command from BMS system. The on / off status shall be furnished as NO contacts. The motorized valves and Thermostats will be supplied by BMS Vendor.

PLANT ROOM @B4 Level:

The Chilled water plant consists of 2 nos Water cooled Centrifugal chillers of 750 TR and 2 nos Water cooled Hermetic screw chillers of 350 TR(stand by) capacities each located at the Plant room of the Service Floor (B4). All the chillers are connected by common chilled water header. The Feeder panel for the Water cooled chillers is located at the Same Floor. The chilled water circulation system located in the B4 Floor, Plant Room consists of primary pumps to circulate water through chiller and secondary pumps for further circulation to the load i.e., air handling units,CSUS,Cassett units and fan coil units and back. There are 5 nos of primary chilled water pumps (4W + 1S), one pump each catering to each chiller. The secondary chilled water system consists of 4 nos secondary chilled water pumps (3W + 1S). Condenser water pumps (4W + 1S) one pump each catering to each chiller and also of 4 nos. Cooling towers (4W), Two CT each catering to each chiller (750 TR) located at 1st Guest Floor Terrace Level.

Primary pump sets and Cooling towers shall be controlled through BMS system. Secondary pump sets shall be controlled by variable frequency drives sensing the pressure differential in the distribution loop. Depending on the load the 2 way valve of AHU and Other equipments regulate the water flow to the coil and this causes an increase in line pressure. Sensing the increased pressure differential the pressure transmitter will send a signal to the secondary pump controller which in turn controls the speed of motor through VFD thus saving power. The excess water from the secondary circuit goes back to the primary circuit through the bypass pipe line. In the Primary system we have also installed air separator and Degasser for purge the air and gases from the system. For Pressurization of chilled water we have provided pressurization tank with 1w+1s pump set with Tank at Terrace Level. The entire chilled water system is provided with balancing valves at various locations to balance the load properly. 2.2 i) The air conditioning and ventilation system of different floors are described hereunder: Basement Floor (B5):
