Physical Fitness

Physical fitness is defined in multiple ways but generally refers to a state of health and well-being or the ability to perform physical tasks. There are two main categories of physical fitness: general fitness and specific fitness. General fitness focuses on overall health while specific fitness relates to the ability to perform certain sports or occupations. Physical fitness is achieved through correct nutrition, exercise, hygiene, and rest. It has both health-related and skill-related components that impact cardiovascular endurance, body composition, flexibility, strength, endurance, speed, agility, balance, coordination, reaction time and power.
