The following is a tazkiyyah from al-Allmah, al-Muaddith, Ubayd Allh al-Mubrakfr (! #$%),1 author of Mirt al-Maft f Shar Mishkt al-Mab for al-Shaykh al-Allmah, al-Muaddith Rab ibn Hd (! #'(%).2 al-Muaddith Ubayd Allh al-Mubrakfr (! #$% )wrote in an Ijzah: To proceed: Says the servant in need of Allh , Ab al-asan Ubayd Allh al-Ramn,3 al-Salaf, al-Athar, al-Mubrakfr; Ibn al-Allmah al-Shaykh Abd al-Salm al Mubrakfr, author of Srah al-Bukhr: Indeed our brother in Allhs Religion, the noble scholar, al-Shaykh Rab ibn Hd ibn Umayr al-Madkhal from the village of al-Jardiyah on the outskirts of miah in the southern region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, teacher in the college of adth at the Islmic University in al-Madnah requested from me an Ijzah (permission) to transmit my [chains of] adth. And his isnd (chain of narration) connects with the chain of the Imms of adth, the authors of al-i and others. He wrote informing me that he rst studied in al-Madrasah al-Salayyah in miah, then in al-Mahad al-Ilm there as well. Afterward, studied in the Islmic University of al-Madnah and graduated in the year 1385 Hijr, receiving the universitys degree. Then, in the year 1396 Hijri, he received a masters degree. Thereafter, he received his doctorate degree in the year 1400 Hijr from King Abd al-Azz University in Jeddah. He also informed me that he heard a great portion of a al-Bukhr and Muslim and part of Jmi al-Tirmidh from al-Allmah, al-Shaykh Ibn Bzmay Allh preserve himin the Prophets Masjid. Additionally, he was in the constant company of al-Allmah, al-Shaykh, Nsir al-Dn al-Albn, as well as benetting from al-Shaykh
He was from the well-known scholars of adth in India. He died in the year 1414 Hijr; may Allh bestow His Mercy upon him.

ammd ibn Muammad al-Anr and others from the major scholars. After graduting from the Islmic University, before receiving his masters and doctorate degrees, he was sent by the university to al-Jmiah al-Salayyah in Banras, India to teach. Whenever I went to al-Jmiah al-Salayyah during his stay there, he sat with me and discussed knowledge based issues. He also traveled to the town of Mubrakfr many times and met me in my home. I found him a person of abundant knowledge and great virtue, possessor of sound understanding and upright character; traversing upon the way of the Salif al-limay Allh be pleased with themin belief and action; following the Book [of Allh] and the Sunnah, aiding them and defending them; harsh upon the people of innovation and desires; refuting the blind followers, who the bulk of their eorts in the recitation of adth is to reconcile it with the madhab (school) of their Imm. So may Allh bless him in his knowledge and bless the Muslims by granting him long life... This was written by the Shaykh the 19th of Dh al-Qadah in the year 1401 Hijr.
