MSC Entrance

Fergusson College in Pune, India will hold a common entrance test on June 8th, 2013 for admission to their Master of Science in Computer Science, Master of Technology in Industrial Mathematics with Computer Applications, and Master of Computer Applications programs for the 2013-2014 academic year. Admission Notice ENTRANCE TEST Fergusson College, Pune

Fergusson College, Pune 2013 2014


Admissions to the above mentioned courses for the year 2013-14 will be through entrance test (common to all three courses). Application forms must be filled online for the Common Entrance Test: The link for filling the online application form will be available From: 6th May 2013 To: 1st June 2013

Students are expected to fill up the online bank challan which will be available while filling up of the application form and pay Rs.600/- as fees for the entrance examination in State Bank of India. After completing the form and payment of the fees, students will get a soft copy of the previous years question paper and receipt. Students will get a soft copy of the hall ticket after 5th June 2013through their user account. They are expected to bring a printout of the hall ticket for the entrance test. Schedule for Common Entrance Test:
Day and Date: 8th June 2013. Time: 09.00 a.m. to 11.00a.m(For 2 Papers) and 09.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon (For 3 Papers)

Place: Fergusson College, Pune. The seating arrangement will be put up on the notice board and intimated on the website of Fergusson College on 5th June 2013. Students are expected to be present at the Common Entrance Test Venue by 8.00 a.m. Details of Common Entrance Test:

The Common Entrance Test for M.Tech and MCA will be based on General Aptitude and Mathematics of 10+2 level. The Common Entrance Test for M.Sc. (Computer Science) will be based on General Aptitude and Computer Science (C, C++, Data Structures and Operating System concepts).

The marking scheme for the test is +2 marks for each correct answer and 1 mark for each wrong answer. Admission to the courses M.Tech and M.C.A. are based purely on the merit in Entrance Examination only. Admission to the course M.Sc. (Computer Science), is based on the marks scored in the entrance test and the marks scored in computer science of S.Y and T.Y in the University examination. This is applicable to the students completing B.Sc(CS) from Pune University. Admission to the course M.Sc. (Computer Science), for students from other Universities will be based on the merit in Entrance Examination only. Result of Entrance Test: Day and Date: 15th June 2013. Time: 12.00 noon. Schedule of Admission Procedure: The details of the admission schedule will be put up on the college website and Department of Computer Science notice board along with the result of entrance examination.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
1. The admission offered in the above programme will be confirmed only after submission of the results of qualifying degree and payment of complete fees for the course. 2. Students completing B.Sc.(CS) from Pune University and interested in taking
admission to M.Sc.(CS) are expected to fill up one more form online after the results of T.Y. B.Sc.(CS) of Pune University within 3 working days.

IF THE STUDENT DOESNOT FILL-UP THE SECOND FORM INDICATING MARKS IN COMPUTER SCIENCE HIS / HER NAME WILL NOT BE REFLECTED IN THE MERIT LIST OF M.Sc.(COMPUTER SCIENCE).
3. The merit list of M.Sc.(C.S.) for the students of Pune University will be declared on the 5th day after the declaration of the results of T.Y.B.Sc.(CS) of Pune University. 4. Final counseling schedule will be displayed after the declaration of M.Sc.(CS) merit list.
