Cashmere Neckwarmer

This is a loose, 5-strand yarn that knits into an amazing unique texture. Be sure to grab all 5 strands when knitting to avoid splitting.
Finished Size: 4.5 x 22 Materials: 1 skein Artyarns Cashmere 5 (30100% cashmere; 105 yds/50g) (sample shown in color #161, Burgundy) Size 5,0mm (US8) needles Three 7/16 buttons (optional) (pictured here in Metal Tiny Leaf by Durange Button Co) Gauge: 27.5 sts x 26 rows = 4 (10cm) in pattern stitch Abbreviations: k knit ppurl psso using left needle, pick up slipped st from right needle and lift it over and off right needle Cast on 31 sts. Row 1: p1, *yo, sl 1, p2, psso 2 purled sts; repeat from * Row 2: k1, *yo, sl 1, k2, psso 2 knit sts; repeat from * Repeat rows 1 and 2 until desired length or until almost out of yarn. Bind off all sts loosely; weave in ends. Lightly block scarf by wetting in tepid water and smoothing out flat to dry. Sew three buttons on diagonally across one scarf end so that scarf can be button closed as desired, or alternately, close with decorative brooch or pin.
