Any research must be cited in the paper and a Resources Cited page included at the end of the paper. ATTENDANCE POLICY: role is taken at all class sessions and attendance is strongly suggested. There is in-class work and discussion. CLASSROOM DECORUM: a few rules make for a smooth and enjoyable class period. Please turn off all electronics and cell phones when you enter the classroom. Computers are a part of our lives and a lap top is a great tool to have in the classroom, but it can also be a distraction to you and those around you. If you bring a lap top to class be aware that if I find you are playing games, or surfing the web during class time, I will insist that you shut it down and may ask that you no longer bring the computer to my class. We have a large class and it is difficult to hear when someone is speaking, either the professor or a student asking questions or answering one. Therefore private conversations must be restricted during class time. There is plenty of time to converse with those around you during group discussions.
When films are being shown, there should also be no conversations. Profanity is not accepted either spoken or written in this class. Verbal or physical threats to students, faculty, or staff are not tolerated. Questions during class are always welcome. Questions during lecture or discussions are permissible. Late entry to the classroom is disruptive. If you find that you must be late, be considerate of others in the classroom, and keep your entrance and preparation as quiet as possible. This also applies to leaving the classroom during lecture and films. The main point, be considerate of others.
