INTERNSHIP PROJECT GUIDELINES


Duration: 03-01-2013 TO 04-03-2013 As per the rules of RCU, for the Masters Degree in Business Administration, completion of the Internship & submission of the Report is one of the requirements for the award of the Degree. It is mandatory that every student has to adhere to the following rules. 1. The Project work shall be on a Topic in the area of specialization opted by the student. 2. No two students shall work on the same topic/project in the same Organization. 3. Every student must submit weekly report to their Internal Guide and seek guidance from them on continuous basis till the completion of the project. 4. Students must contact the respective internal guide of Department at least once in a week regarding the progress of the work done. 5. The Internship Project should have Industry Orientation and the work should be certified by the concerned Organization, where the student has undertaken the project. 6. The Internship Report shall be submitted by the students as per the guidelines prescribed by RCU. 7. Guidelines for project report from RCU, is enclosed for your needful. 8. Submit the Final Project Report in 3 Copies on or before colleges. 9. Valuation of the Project Reports to be completed by 15th to 20th March, 2013. 10. Viva-Voce to be held between 21st March to 25th March, 2013. 11. Submission of Marks to be done on or before 28-03-2013

INTERNSHIP REPORT
Objective: To expose the students to understand the organization & take up in depth study of an issue/problem in the area of specialization.

Structure: The project will have two parts: Part: A - Corporate Exposure Part: B Study of an Issue/Problem

- 40% - 60%

General Guidelines
1. The Project work shall be for a period of Ten weeks immediately after the III semester examination, i.e. from 03-01-2013 to 04-03-2013 2. One HARD copy of the Internship Report to be submitted to The Chairman, Department of Business Administration, Rani Channamma University by 15th March, 2013. 3. Student must select different Organisation/Industry for the Internship Report and no two students are allowed to work on the same problem in the same Organisation. 4. The Internal Guide shall give a certificate to the effect that the candidate has worked satisfactory under his /her guidance. 5. On completion of the Project Work, student shall prepare a report with the following format. The project report shall be prepared using word processor Viz. MS Word. All the reports shall be in the printed format with the margin of 1.5 to the left and 1 margin on all remaining sides. The students shall use Times New roman Font and the font size shall be 12, sub tittles with 14 and main headings with 16. The report shall be hard bound facing sheet (only Royal Blue color) indicating the title of the college and month and year of admission (spiral binding not permitted). A certificate by the Guide, Director and Head of the Institution indicating the bonafide performance of the project by the student to be enclosed. An undertaking by the student to the effect that the work is independently carried out by him/her is essential. The certificate from the concerned organization is mandatory. Internship Report shall have the LOGO of the University (Mandatory)

All the students have to compulsorily prepare and submit the weekly report of the work done during their Internship Project, duly filled and signed on the letter head of the company by the External Guide as well as the Internal Guide along with the certificate from the company without fail in the prescribed format given below:
