EVENT AND COURSE Ogden Lodge No. 754 is pleased to sponsor the First Annual Masonic Charity Trail Run at Homer Lake Forest Preserve near Homer, IL. This is a 4.25 mile non-competitive scenic fun run through miles of woods and prairielands along the banks of the Salt Fork River and Homer Lake. ABOUT THE TRAIL RUN The proceeds from the First Annual Masonic Charity Trail Run benefit the Developmental Services Center in Champaign. Since 1972, the mission of the Development Services Center is to enhance the lives of individuals with disabilities by providing services and supports which enable them to live, work, learn, and participate in their communities. REGISTRATION & PACKET PICK-UP Early registration cost for the run/walk is $20 and must be st completed and postmarked by AUGUST 31 ! Event T-Shirts are guaranteed for early registrants. Registration is available race day between 8-8:30 a.m. Race day registration, check-in, and parking will be near the registration areajust follow the signs. Due to insurance policies, no dogs or baby strollers are allowed. DIRECTIONS TO HOMER LAKE FOREST PRESERVE The Homer Lake Forest Preserve is approximately 14 miles southeast of Champaign-Urbana. From I-74: Take the Ogden exit 197, and turn south toward the Village of Ogden. Go straight through the four-way stop in Ogden. About two miles south of Ogden turn right (look for the small brown sign that says Homer Lake). Take the first left. The entrance to Homer Lake Forest Preserve will be on your right about a half-mile down the road. Follow the signs to the parking and registration area.

PARTICIPANT WAIVER STATEMENT: I know that running a trail race is a potentially hazardous activity. I should not enter unless I am medically able and properly trained. I agree to abide by any decision of a race official relative to my ability to safely complete the run. I assume all risks associated with running in this event including, but not limited to, falls, contact with other participants, vehicles, horses, other pedestrian traffic on the path and/or trail system, the effects of the weather, including high heat, rain, snow, ice, and/or humidity, conditions of the trail, all such risks being known and appreciated by me. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts and in consideration of your accepting my entry, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release, Grand Lodge of A.F. & A. M. of the State of Illinois, Ogden Masonic Lodge #754, Champaign County Forest Preserve, Homer Lake Forest Preserve, Developmental Services Center, all employees, all volunteers, all sponsors, all associates, their representatives and successors from any and all claims or liabilities of any kind arising from my participation in this event. If as a result of my participation in the Ogden Masonic Lodge #754 Trail Run for DSC, I require medical attention, I hereby give my consent to authorize medical personnel of the event to provide such medical care as is deemed necessary by such authorized personnel. I grant permission to all of the foregoing to use photographs, motion pictures, recordings or any other record of this event for any legitimate purpose.
