Ec 1207

The document is an exam paper for the subject Analog and Digital Communication. It contains 15 questions to test students' understanding of key concepts. The questions cover topics like modulation, sensitivity and selectivity, power calculations for AM signals, phase deviation, Carson's rule, digital modulation techniques, Shannon's theorem, channel capacity, frequency-shift keying (FSK), the amplitude modulated wave equation, superheterodyne receivers, frequency modulation vs. phase modulation, and block diagrams of FSK transmitters and receivers. Students are required to answer questions from Parts A and B that evaluate their knowledge of modulation techniques and communication system design.
