COLLEGE INFORMATON MANAGEMENT

ABSTRACT: --College Information Management (CIM) is an online project. This will mainly reduce the manual efforts and huge paper works that would consume the time of an individual. This also avoids errors and corrections with an easy to use user interface. There are four major aspects in this project, they are: Attendance management, Academic marks, online mentoring, timetable management. All the modules in CIM are interdependent. Some parts are maintained manually. So they need to be automated and centralized. This is because information from one module will be needed by other modules. This project is useful all the departments in a college since there are similarities in the difficulties faced by different department when we focus on the above mentioned aspects. The updating and management of all the information is very easier. Especially the remarks suggestion that we get from lecturers, student and parents would help in the overall development of an individual student in the academics. The system can access by every students/faculties/H.ODs of the institution through internet connected computers or internet enabled mobile devices with the aid of his user name and password. Every user will have a customized home page with his/her profile management facilities. Through links that displays in the home page the user can access different options on the website.
