Simple Sentence, Compound & Complex Sentence

TASK 1 : Select a text about 150 words and identify at least 3 sentences for each sentence type found

in the said text. Categorize these sentences correctly in a table.

Simple Sentence
1. It means adding impurity to the environment. 2. Our Earth is becoming warmer.

Compound Sentence
1. Pure air is always needed for inhaling.

Complex Sentence
1. It is true that trees are being cut down rapidly.

2. Impure water from the industries can be sent back for purification and then it can be used for irrigation purpose.

2. If we take pure air, our health improves.

3. It is the root of air pollution.

3. Our government is well aware of the fact and is taking steps to save environment from pollution.

3. The smoke which is discharged from industries, automobiles, and kitchens is the mixture of carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, methane etc.

4. Smoke pollutes the air.

4. They even drink this water for salvation.

4. It is really very strange and laughable that large number of the Indians regard this water as holy.
