We use these two tenses to talk about future actions but there are important differences between them:
a) We use will to talk about: -

Predictions and promises: In 2050 people will travel in flying cars. Spontaneous decisions: A: Its cold / B: Dont worry, Ill close the
window.

b) we use be going to to talk about:

- plans and intentions: Im going to play tennis in the afternoon. - predictions based on a present evidence: Look at the dark cloud.
Its going to rain.

Complete the sentences using will or be going to. 1. A: Why are you turning on the television? B: Because ____________________________(watch) the News. 2.
