Demonstration Scheduled for Saturday, January 21, 2012 in Downtown Stuttgart

On Saturday, 21 January 2012 from 1430 to 1530 hours, the "Das Aktionsbuendnis gegen Stuttgart 21" (The Action Alliance against Stuttgart 21) is sponsoring a demonstration in front of the main entrance to the Hauptbahnhof (Main Train Station) on Schillerstrasse in downtown Stuttgart, Germany. The alliance is continuing their protest against the Stuttgart 21 project. Approximately 2,000 to 3,000 people are expected to attend the demonstration, which is anticipated to be peaceful.

EASY TO FOLLOW INDIVIDUAL SELF PROTECTION MEASURES: 1. 2. Be aware of your surroundings. Avoid planned gatherings or demonstrations. Maintain awareness of your surroundings so you will recognize conditions which may lead to a spontaneous demonstration. If you happen to come upon a demonstration, remain calm and disengage from the situation. Avoid speaking loudly. Try to be inconspicuous. Do not draw attention to yourself. Travel in small groups (never alone) and vary movements. Always let someone know where you're going and when you expect to return. Stay away from high risk areas. Know emergency numbers and potential safe areas. Carry a cell phone if possible. Keep vehicle in good working order and fuel tank full
