Checklist of documents required for lodging a Standard Business Sponsorship (SBS) Application

Company/Business Registration certificate. Company ABN registration certificate. Business names extract (trading name/s). If operating under a Trust arrangement : Relevant pages of the Trust deed (pages listing parties to the trust and signature pages) As many of the following documents you can provide as possible o Company annual report o Two recent Business Activity Statements (if business is less than 12 months old) o Business Tax return o Lease agreements or property ownership documents o Contracts to provide service or work orders o Detailed business plans o Registration to industry associations o Advertisement/promotional materials o Photographs of the business premises, factory, machinery etc. o Evidence of employment of local (Australian) staff Evidence of Training Australian Employees Receipts of payments made to Training providers. Any Training plan, including payments made to an outside expert (In-house training is not considered for training expense) Spending on apprentices, trainees and recent graduates (Where an business employs an apprentice or trainee, and there is a formal apprenticeship or traineeship agreement in place (known as a Training Contract) that has been lodged with the relevant authority in that State/Territory, 100 per cent of the salary provided to this apprentice or trainee can be counted towards calculating towards the training cost) (Where a recent graduate is participating in a formal, structured graduate program for up to two years, or is completing a professional year following their graduation, 100% of the salary provided to this graduate during this time can be counted towards training. Note that the graduates salary can only be counted if the occupation in which they are working is relevant or related to the subject of their recently completed qualification. A Recent graduate is considered someone who has completed their higher education studies within the last 24 months prior to the lodgement of the SBS)
