Reverse Logistics Final

Reverse logistics is the process of planning, implementing, and controlling the efficient flow of raw materials, inventory, finished goods and related information from the point of consumption to the point of origin for the purpose of recapturing value or proper disposal. It involves products that have failed but can be repaired, obsolete products, unsold products from retailers, recalled products, parts repaired in the field, and items with secondary usage or waste. Reverse logistics helps customers, manages warehouse operations, and handles refunds, restocking, refurbishing, refilling, recycling, and waste disposal. It can involve product recalls and remanufacturing. Categories are determined by the source of reverse flow, such as customer returns, and destinations
